Very handy and can be left inside tank with the lid off and the fish will swim right into it. **Q: Can this be used to treat a wounded molly fish until it is well?** A: Yes you can, I used it for guppy fish and molly fish works very well. **Q: does the cage float if the suction cups release?** A: I know this isn't exactly what you asked but mine bobs a bit. there are 2 suction cups not super secure.
