They work really well but are very smelly. I suggest putting each pad inside a plastic bag and wrapping the bag in duct tape.

I am using these to quiten an external drive with a bunch of HDDs in it. These do help the sound from traveling through the floor as loudly but not as much as expected. I am not 100% convinced they were worth the cost.
