It says microfiber but it's definitely a polyester or rayon type material, super shiny and slick not soft at all. We tried washing a few times with fabric softener but it really didn't help much. The only good thing is the pet hair doesn't stick to it. Everything else is a con. Super hot and doesn't breathe well, it's small on the sides... maybe a 1" overlap each side of our standard king bed, it's very shiny and the colors don't look like the picture very much at all. The color is vibrant, but not displeasing to the eye. Pillow shams fit perfectly around my thicker queen sized pillows. The only downside for me is that it doesn't feel like it fits properly with my bed length.
