Had my first pot this morning. Made with tap water and a regular drip coffee maker. I'm very pleased with the taste. Nice, full-bodied flavor for a dark roast. Smooth. But the best is, I tasted no bitterness. Would definitely buy again.

Oh What can I say about Peet's coffee? It's WONDERFUL, aromatic, deliciously strong and bold but not too overpowering. This is one of my top favorites and I am so happy it comes in whole beans and large bags! Great way to start the day. The coffee came FRESH and well packaged. It was a pleasure to grind this up and brew ! YUM! GOOD MORNING WORLD !

4.5 Stars.And yes, since you asked, Amazon does need to go to a more precise ten-star rating system.I give this coffee high marks for being organic and at a great price point.The taste is quite good, but there is a slight sharp tinge to it, making it a tiny bit unpleasant. I wish they would tweak that, then it would be an even better coffee and value.I may keep searching, but if I can't find anything else, I can be content with this coffee.Update: I'm used to this coffee and like it fine.But one other thing: Peets need to change the color of its labels. Green is universally identified as the symbol of decaf coffee, whereas brown suggests the full strength variety. Peets has this exactly backward. It's unintuitive and confusing.

I purchase this for my parents as a monthly gift. This is the only home brewed coffee they will drink. They love the bold flavor of the dark brew.

Great coffee. Packaging can be hit or miss. It comes in a foil bag, so please maybe use a box to ship it rather than a plastic bag. This coffee bag was fine, the other that came with it had a hole in the bag.
