Awesome tool - Save on a plumber and have a tool in your pocket for future needs...
I am renovating a bathroom and brought in a few plumbers to bid moving a bathtub drain and some plumbing lines. They quoted almost 3 grand, so I brought someone in for $600 to scan my post tension slab and identify exactly where the cables were (yes, a lot of money, but you don't want to hit a cable). Once they did, I decided to do it myself. So, about $900 in tools/materials and a rental jackhammer, I saved about $2K, and have some experience and tools to resolve future issues... To the tool. I am used to quality tools per my woodworking hobby, so do tend to understand how they should react. I originally purchased the IWISS IWS-1234W thinking I had about 10 connections and I did not need a high end tool. It also received great reviews. Receiving the tool, I was quickly surprised. The box was smaller than anticipated and I immediately was concerned. It is the red one in the pics, and as you see barely larger than scissors for scale. I kept an open mind, and performed a test on scrap pipe and an extra connector. Sure enough, it was exceedingly difficult to crimp a 3/4" ring on PEX. I'm not a weak guy and do a lot of my work myself including masonry fireplace, bbq, walls, etc. The tool is just too small and awkward in crimping, and it does not give good feedback when complete. It was a successful test, at least per the go/nogo gauge, but with uncertain tool feedback for a complete crimp, and the awkwardness/difficulty in crimping, I returned it and bought this F1807 Kit. My concern was quality of connections, and being water, a leak would do extensive damage, and given I just spent 4 months making the cabinets/vanity, and a couple barn doors, I did not want to take a chance. To this F1807 Kit. This kit is $20 more than the orange unit. Per the pics you can see it is a bit larger than it as well. It also comes with a ring removal tool which works great if you are just unsure of your crimp, or make a bad crimp. I think it takes just one mistake to pay for itself. I used it to recover the connectors I used as a test. This unit also crimps up to 1" PEX, also down to 3/8", so more bang for the buck. I immediately tested it, and it was easy to crimp, solid and gave good feedback when the ring was crimped. Light years better than the other unit. So, I moved forward and completed my bathroom quickly I might add with impressive results, no mistakes and most importantly no leaks. The confidence this gives is so much better than the smaller unit, so now I will tackle any plumbing project without concern. Like 9 months ago, when a 5" lag for a TV mount found dead center in a PEX water line. Yes, that little mistake cost my insurance company about $1800, but I since I did the flood remediation and drywall repair myself, I was lucky and recovered my $500 deductible. Regardless, I did not want to mess with the plumbing, but after buying this tool now, it seems silly because this is just so simple. Crazy, because I will break open anything in a home, and tackle any DIY, construction or building project, but two things scare me. Electrical and indoor plumbing. Well, I can scratch indoor plumbing off my list now. Anyway, for $20 more than that other kit, this is worth twice that of the other tool in value. I can see where the size would aid in tight places, but believe that would be a rarity. With the head design and , crimping 3/4" PEX towards the back, I don't see much difference in the head would provide increased benefit in tight spaces, but the action of the handle when opening sure does as this unit does get large when you open it. Again, it was not an issue for me. Maybe if you're in a crawl space/small closet/tight corner, but in that case, I say shell out the extra $65 as a secondary tool. With it's difficulty to use, awkwardness and lack of feedback, I would ONLY use it when I had no choice and would not/did not keep it as my one and only tool. The F1807 on the other hand gives me much more confidence, is easier to use and will give you more consistent/better results. In short, I am more than pleased with this tool and if you are trying to save $20, skip pizza. It's not worth it to skimp and buy the smaller tool...

Excellent Quality and Value for the Price!
The iCrimp Pex Pipe Crimping Tool Kit is a fantastic set for anyone needing to work with Pex pipes. This tool is solidly built and includes everything you need for a professional finish. It works perfectly with 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1-inch copper rings, providing tight and secure crimps every time. The free gauge and Pex pipe cutter are great additions, making the whole process even easier. I’ve used this on multiple projects, and it’s been reliable and consistent. The tool feels comfortable in hand, and the portable design makes it easy to store and carry around. It meets ASTM F1807 standards, so I have full confidence in the quality and durability of the crimps it creates. Overall, it’s a great value for anyone working with Pex piping, whether for DIY or professional use. Highly recommended!

This pex tool is a winner!
Just got done with my small pex plumbing project, and the tool worked great. Since the rest of my house is pex crimp rings, decided to go that route instead of clamps. The price on this tool was better than most other decent quality crimp tools. I don't really like cheap tools and this one didn't feel that way...it really seemed to be of high quality. I also really appreciated that this kit came with the tubing cutter as well as the crimp ring removal tool. I've done a bit of plumbing over the years, including sweating copper, ABS/PVC drains, and such. This was my first time working with Pex and it was pretty easy. Nothing leaked, so I guess it all turned out. Here's what I learned: 1) I did mostly 1" pex on this project. They now have a big sticker on the lid of the box that reminds you that the 1" jaws are just the plain tool with no 'inserts' loaded into the head. Thanks to other reviews, though, I'd already had a heads-up on this. 2) You will almost assuredly NOT be able to undo an existing connection and pull it apart. I'd wanted to save one existing connection so I used my dremel with a cutting wheel to quickly remove the copper crimp ring. NO WAY that was coming apart, so I cut it off and re-did that section. 3) With this tool, always be thinking about your work-space. You have to open the arms up very wide in order to get the tool around the pipe...much wider angle than, say, pliers. There was a couple of connections that there was no way to get at because I couldn't open the arms wide enough in the space. I had to do some pretty big workarounds on that. My advice is that if you are in any type of tight quarters, to consider a different tool. Either one of the offset crimpers, or perhaps one of the small block style pex crimpers (if you don't have a lot of connections). 4) My tool came calibrated, but I did burn a single 1" ring with a spare piece of pipe and a pex fitting to check it. I recommend you check yours also. 5) I really don't like the style of go/no-go gauge this tool comes with. Instead of the "combo" style with a single hole that tests for both go and no-go, I wish it would have had the double sided ones with each size in both 'go' and 'no go'. I found myself second guessing my crimps a lot at first, but they still seemed better than the ones the professional plumbers made when they built my house 10 years ago. I just took my time and went slow. Bottom line: No leaks. Highly recommend this tool. Very good deal and heavy duty/good quality.

Husband approved
This pipe crimping kit worked great and was exactly what we needed for a quick plumbing project. The tools feel solid and well-made, and everything in the kit fit together the way it should. My husband said it was easy to use and gave clean, secure crimps without any struggle. It also comes with the right pieces to handle different pipe sizes, which made the process go smoothly. Overall, we’re very happy with this kit and how well it performed. It saved us time, helped avoid leaks, and made the whole job a lot simpler than expected. My husband was impressed with the quality and said he’d definitely use it again for future projects. Great purchase!

Must have tool for PEX tubing installation!
Everyone who does plumbing who is not a professional should have one of these, this tool is quick and easy to use, works great. This crimping tool works great for my PEX project, made my water softener and filter install easy. I like how its universal from 3/8” - 1” comes with a nice case, cutter and crimp check tool.

Just completed the project I purchased this kit for, and it performed admirably. As a homeowner, this was my first time installing PEX plumbing. Everything went smoothly and had zero leaks after using this crimper. My house has mostly 1/2 inch runs, with a few 3/4 inch runs, and this kit can do it all. The crimping tool is solidly built, and should last a lifetime. The included cutter does a great job of cutting the PEX, just be careful to cut as straight as possible especially if using any push to fit Sharkbite fittings. My only criticism is how much room you need to operate the crimping tool, as the arms have to swing very wide open to fit around the crimp ring. Easy to solve if you simply plan your crimps ahead of time if you're working in a tight space, but something to be aware of for sure. 5/5 would recommend.

Jauge Go/No-Go pour une vérification parfaite.

Solid crimper, works as intended. Case is sturdy as well. Only room for improvement is the inside molding of the case left a little to be desired in terms of placement for the accessories
