Comfy…I don’t even know I’m wearing it. Lightweight, silky and color is beautiful. The strap does seem to be getting looser so I have to keep tightening it, but that’s not a big deal for me and I like that it doesn’t have Velcro to get stuck in my hair. Blocks light great and has help up with washing in machine in a delicates bag and air dry. Great value

This is my absolute favorite eye mask. As a night shift nurse, I wear an eye mask to sleep every day, and this one is the best I have found. It is super comfortable, so soft and smooth. It blocks all of the light and is very comfortable on your ears because of the extra fabric there. There isn’t anything plastic to lay against. I have numerous eye masks. But this one is by far my favorite. I will say, if you have lash extensions, this might not be the best choice, just because the eye cushion isn’t as deep as some of my others. But for people without lash extensions, it’s plenty deep enough. It does not put any pressure on the eyes , and is very comfortable across the bridge of the nose. EDIT: This review is for the older style. I do not like the newer style as much as they have removed the nose flap and for me personally it does not block the light as well and seems to put a little more pressure on my eyes since these eye cups aren’t as deep as those on some other masks. Second edit: they are still using old photos that don’t match product to sell these. They’ve changed the design and are still using the old photos. I bought one of these masks before. I love it. It’s my absolute favorite mask. Then they changed the design. They removed the flap over the nose that blocks the light out. (See photos of old version with flap and new one without) This new design made it not as dark and also tends to slide up on my nose which the old one didn’t do. Last time they did this I complained and they sent me an old model which I greatly appreciated. But that was a long time ago. When I went to buy another one they had different pictures. Some of them showed the older model and some showed the newer model. I purchased an option that showed the older model. They sent me the new one. If this is the only option they have at this point, they need to update their photos and stop showing the (better) older model with the nose flap, since that isn’t what you’re going to get. I guess I need to find a new place to buy my masks. It’s just such a bummer because the old mask was the best one on the market hands down. It is so soft and comfortable. I would never buy a different brand if they just kept making it that way. So frustrating when companies change something that’s perfect and ruin it. Had to change my rating as you should receive the product you see in the listing and that’s not what is going on with this company. They need to fix the listing and provide an accurate description, or better yet, bring back the old version.

This eye mask is very light and not heavily padded. It is comfortable to wear and does a fairly good job of keeping the light out. Though I like this mask, I really prefer the MZOO brand because it does a better job of blocking the light, and the adjustment elastic is easily slid into place. The MZOO might not be as comfortable for sleeping, as it is thicker. I do not use any mask for sleeping so I cannot comment.

I had to return this mask, but not because of any defect in the product. It is soft, comfortable, breathable, and lovely. I suffer migraine attacks and need a mask with 100% light blocking ability, and a sliver of light creeps in under the nose. Many folks may find that just fine, but during an attack, I simply cannot handle any light. That said, it IS made from a wonderfully soft fabric that is gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn't feel stuffy or claims. When I returned this mask, Alaska Bear customer service reached out to me right away to make sure their product was not defective. Wow! When I explained the very specific needs I have for zero light, they explained the old mask design had more nose coverage, but many complained of it tickling them. (Perfectly understandable.) Then I was offered a chance to receive one of the old masks free of charge--amazing! I haven't received any free products (yet?), but am so impressed with customer care I feel a positive review has definitely been earned!
