Love this - wish it was sold cheaper
Such a delicious treat. Only down side is the price, like who buys a $30 jam lol. Anyways, I will definitely buy more. Lol. Taste wise, it reminds me of tamarind, but a lot more complex, and herbal and earthy in taste. It is a must try at least IMO.

Poor quality
Poor quality! This is my second purchase from Amazon. My first jar of Chyawanprash with Amla was very good. This was my second jar. When I attempted to open the jar, it unexpectedly popped open, and the product had fermented and emitted an unpleasant odor. I had to dispose of it, resulting in a complete waste of money. I hope they can send me a replacement. Attached are photos of both jars.

One of the best product

This is the 3rd time I ordered the Amlaprash. First two orders each of 300gm were amazing and this time I ordered 500gm now I am a little disappointed as it is more sweeter than usual and feels like it lost the authenticity.

This is probably the best chyawanprash in the market. "So why the low rating, comrade!!?," I hear you shout. Here's why: I first bought this for 1000 at a farmer's store in Mumbai and later ordered 2 from Amazon for 2200. Jacking up prices, seemingly randomly, is something I have observed with other TBOF products. Yes, they use premium ingredients like A2 ghee, organic jaggery, and run a great farm (more power to the brothers!), but spending so much on this and their other products has honestly begun to hurt! I'm always ready to shell out extra for great quality and support ethical businesses, but there comes a point when the needle in the balance scale begins to tip away from the side of "Paying a Good Price for a Great Product" towards the "Feeling of not Having got your Money's Worth". This is one of those cases, where any health benefits promised are perhaps compromised by the negative psychological effect of overspending. The fact that the jar was not even completely filled proved to be another cataclysmic setback. It was just above 3/4th (forgot to take a photograph). I expect some of you might still want to know about its taste, if you get over the price shock. Taste is good, but it definitely lacks that recognizable kick of potent Ayurvedic herbs. It is a little too sweet for me as the over-reliance on jaggery ends up masking the spiciness of herbs. I have no idea why I've spent half an hour typing a review of a goddam chyawanprash. Maybe because deep down I really like this brand, what it stands for, and feel a bit short-changed. But I hope it is of some help to someone -- even if only as a nudge to the makers to reconsider its pricing, or factors affecting it, and making it less sweet, so I can buy it again :)
