Well built
This seems like a very durable product. It is well built and easy to install. The drain valve was leaking, so I would recommend retaping and tightening before you get started. It arrived with a broken bulb and tube, but the seller remedied that quickly. It's only been a little over a month, but it is working fine still. I haven't sent off any water samples, so I can't give you any numbers. I bought this one based on the reviews for the smaller model that handles 12 gpm. Update June 13, 2019: It's been about 6 months and there have been no issues. Both bulbs are still burning. I'll update if anything changes.

Saved a ton of $ installing myself
Good product and I saved a ton of $ installing it myself instead of hiring a water treatment service guy. You do need some plumbing knowledge to install and time , but product was well made.

This thing has broke open repeatedly causing floods…
I wanted to like this light it I really did but it became a huge headache. Initially it seemed fairly sturdy and well built but the end cap was so poorly machined right off the bat it leaked like a siv I had to slather the 1 inch port on a ton of pipe dope just to get the leaking to stop. I should have returned it right there but I was dumb enough to keep putting up with this lemon… I put it together and it wasn’t very long a quartz sleeve blew out started pouring water all over the ballast destroying it. Mind you I’m using a water pressure regulator to keep water pressure in spec and with pre filters to treat incoming water. So I replaced the ballast, bulb and sleeve. A few months later same deal blew another sleeve and bulb cooked. Then randomly one of the ballasts melted down almost caused a fire because the cheap silicone gasket sprung a pinhole leak not enough to flood but enough to smoke the system. At one point I became so annoyed of the system I capped off one side of the system which reduced its effectiveness but I got tired of fixing one side the other side would blow out. I became curious if hard water was the issue so I put in a demineralizer which prevents hard water deposits since I saw a lot of corrosion on the aluminum I cleaned everything up put in once again a new sleeve and bulb then a few months later the system blew out again and started leaking again. At this point I’ve only had the system since August of 2020 I’m at wits end and I’ve replaced the bulbs and sleeves way too frequently and since they don’t warranty disposable parts I’ve been spending too much time and money on this piece of junk. I can’t recommend this system it’s too low of quality.

Good product
Product works well- haven’t had any issues, no leaks. Plug and play once you place the bulbs inside. Very easy. Only thing confusing- there was 2 white rubber washers around the bulbs- nothing in the instructions said if those are to be left on, or need to be taken off? Besides that- very easy and works well.

Haven’t died from e-coli. Must be working.
It’s a good system. Be sure to plan the installation so that you have ample room to slide the tubes in and out.

Well built just keep an eye on the relief valve. See photo.
I purchased this system a few years ago and it’s been reliable. Just one thing you really have to keep an eye on is the relief valve. It failed without warning and if we hadn’t been home, it would have been a complete disaster. It appears that the valve is made of cheap aluminum materia and after being in use for a few years the minerals in our well water ate away at its base and cracked leaking a significant amount of water before we knew about the failure. I replaced it with a heavy duty brass valve (see photo) and it solve the problem. I would advise anyone purchasing this system to make sure they use only brass fittings which will prevent any rust from building up and subsequently leak.
