This is the best chow chow I have had since my mom. This bought back memories of my mom canning in the kitchen as I was growing up. The flavor is on-point!!!Following this review I will be ordering more.

Excellent product...... Ok, here it is. I have bought these several times before. And this is the real deal !! It reminds me of my Mothers chow chow ! My Mother was a canner,She caned a lot ! This MeadowCroft Chow Chow was the BEST next to the memory of my Mothers chow chow ! There I said it ! I eat this on the side,as a sweet treat. Also I put it on Hot Dogs ! Pork chops ! And Sushi as a side dish! (Just me ). Watching a ball game,hot dogs and MeadowCroft Chow Chow is the Best...!!. Buy it,you will thank yourself for it !

The Chow Chow is quite flavorful with a slight sweetish taste. It goes well over cooked cabbage or leafy collard greens. I add some additional hot peppers (habaneros) to spice it up a bit more. All in all, an excellent product.

I loved it! The old folks always told me it isn’t real chow-chow unless it has green tomatoes in it.

Warning -- when the manufacturers say "Sweet," they mean it. This stuff is far too sweet. The sugar completely overwhelms all the other ingredients. Can't taste the green tomatoes, or the peppers, or the cabbage -- just sweet, sweet, sweet. Flushing this down the disposal.

Reminded me of my grandma's chow chow. First time I've found anything close to tasting like her's. I have her old hand written recipe and it starts with a peck of green tomatoes. I have no idea what a peck is, so I've never tried to duplicate her recipe. Meadow Croft has it down pat. I love it on brown beans (pinto). This is something I will definitely be buying again.

Love, love, love. I have searched for years to find "relish" like my mom made...even though she was born and raised in NC I didn't realize it was called Chow. We tried four brands of sweet chow before finding yours!! It is awesome.

Love this relish on sandwiches. Tastes just like my mother-in-laws chow chow.
