Works well. Worth the extra money vs the options a hundred or so dollars less. Only thing to consider is that solar needs to be 120v - 450v or mppt will not charge battery or power anything. I had to rewrite my panels since they were wired at 80v which my old inverter made use of fine. This one didn’t use them with that voltage though it saw they were connected. Just be aware if you get it and your panels aren’t working. That all said it’s very efficient. I have 2560w of panels. 8 panels total. And after my typical load of a light, tv, starlink and a fan, it was charging 2200w into batteries as measured by the battery shunt. That’s great. Generator connected and charges fine too. Pretty simple to program and has features to time when using panels vs grid. I don’t have grid so left all that off. After using renogy and an eco worthy worthy inverter previously, eco worthy 24v and renogy 48v, this inverter seems better made than renogy and perhaps eco worthy. I really liked the eco worthy but needed to go to 48v battery bank so after trying the renogy I settled on this inverter. The renogy wouldn’t charge my batteries for some reason but eco worthy and this inverter does. Biggest take away from my experience after trying a few is that the extra $100 price tag does give you a better inverter vs the others. The connections are better and it has more features. That aside from the internal build quality, which I’m assuming are a bit better as well. I’m going to add two more panels for a total of 3200w to take advantage of the better mppt this unit has so my 8 x 300ah 12v batteries charge a little more each day in the winter. Where I live winter angle puts the sun close to the horizon so I want to be sure the panels can keep up with charging. Overall very happy with the inverter.

Had this unit running my house through a 10 circuit critical load panel. So far it has been great not a hick up at all. have 10 405 watt solar panels hooked up to it as well as 4 51.2 v 100 ah vatrer batteries. Easy hookup have a sub panel from the unit that goes to critical load panel. Powers 8 circuits through the house. I have a 5000 and 3000 Sungoldpower inverter and I will probably be getting the 10000 watt in the near future so I can add my well with split phase. Will move this 5000 watt to my shop and the 3000 to my camper shed to power my rv. I would recommend highly. Great value as well as quality.

So far this unit has been very impressive on my off-grid setup. Generator(aka grid)switching is absolutely seamless. Really amazed how fast everything switches back and forth when I need generator power for charging and power on overcast bad weather days. Fan is not loud at all and this unit is currently in the bedroom of the RV. Inverter has been handling microwave , water heater, and coffeeaker flawlessly. I will definitely be buying a 2nd one to use in parallel for my ever growing solar array. Very impressed so far after a week, will update if any issues. Highly recommend for the price.

Yeah so this terminal for the AC neutral is no good, wont grab wire. all the terminals grab wire but not this one. so im stuck cant do a thing with this unit until they send me a terminal block that their quality control should have caught in the first place. Abd the oddest thing, i spoke to their tech support but they cant send me the part, their customer service dept. has to call me back and arrange for that part to be sent to me. Still waiting ! 10-23-25 update well i ended up returning the unit. I got another unit from another company and was surprised they included battery hook up cable however no battery bolts to connect with. Sungold supplied the bolts but no battery cable, go figure. the othering i noticed, the Sungold unit did not have a clear plastic sheet on the inside helping to direct air flow from fans, there is a place for it just like on the replacement unit i got from the other company but not installed. Im starting to think someone dropped the ball on quality control. no battery cable, bad thread on AC neutral out, no airflow sheath. my review stands as it is one star.

Im brand new to solar, i have slight electrical experience and at first the whole solar system seemed intimidating. But the most flawless part of the system i installed was these inverters. You HAVE to pay attention to specifics like making sure you have equal length battery cables, have them in a properly vented area ect. Ive seen posts on forums of installs where this is disreguarded and the issues are put on the manufacture. This is unfortunate because Since the moment i fired them up they have not skipped a beat and ive put almost 5000kwh through them already. When i had some questions about where to find the download for the monitoring software they were extremely helpful as well. Coming from constant DIY of everything on my homestead and building racecars, i can count on one hand how many times things just worked first try, this was one of them. This is literally the first ever review ive left on amazon, but they deserve it. Thanks sungoldpower!
