This is an adjustable, button-end suspender that works exceptionally well. It might be a bit skeptical to some due to being elastic, meaning that it's a bit stretchy, but that's probably the best feature about these. I'm a small person (male) that decided on ordering the "Tall 54" suspenders, and I can say that they're definitely worth it. I've never wore suspenders before, and I was wanting to get a pair that resembled original, old-style suspenders. These suspenders come with 6 buttons that you sow onto your pants, then the button-ends simply attach to those buttons. It's best to put on your pants, then drape the suspenders over your shoulders, adjust them a bit, line up the button-ends to where you'll put the buttons, then mark them with a pencil. I put my buttons on the inside of the pants.So, I originally decided on getting suspenders for work. I work at a bakery and I'm constantly having to bend over to put trays on racks, picking up boxes, or other various other things where I'm constantly having to pull at my pants and that doesn't seem too sanitary to begin with. So, in short, I've wore these at my full-time job, underneath my baking coat, for quite a while now and they've held up extremely well. I'm rather a small person instead of a large person with a belly, so I can only give you the perspective of a small male that has been using these for about a month on 50-60 hour weeks of working in them. In addition to that, I can say that with these being elastic, I'm so glad I got the elastic stretchy kind rather than a tough, rigid material that has no give. The pants stay up, and are easy on the shoulders -- I have no shoulder pain nor know that they're on me after a while. I don't wear my pants belly-button high, so I have them adjusted to accommodate my comfort wearing level and they're just perfect.There's no cons so far from what I've experienced with wearing these daily. As a first-timer with suspenders, my review might be not as creditable compared to others, but I'm fairly critical on things I wear while working since it's a lot of moving around and comfort is a huge key.

After looking at probably 20 or so different button-on suspenders, I finally found these. The reviews weren't too bad, so I purchased them. And I am so happy that I did.These are the perfect length for me (5' 11"), and are adjustable. The leather straps for the buttonholes are fairly flexible. Some other products I looked at before these said that the black dye of the leather was bleeding into their dress shirts. This was NOT an issue with these suspenders, even after over 20 hours of total wear.The elastic is thick, of decent quality, and doesn't stretch *too* much. The metal clasps slide well, and also hold in place. They seem to be of decent construction, unlike some other comments I've read for other suspenders on Amazon.Overall, these are some fantastic suspenders for such a decent price. The biggest hassle would probably be sitting down and sewing the buttons on (or paying someone to do it), but after that, you'll look fantastic wearing them. And-- people will notice you're one of few who don't wear clip on suspenders ;)

This is a very nice product. The braces (suspenders clip on, braces button on) are very comfortable and durable. In my opinion, they only have one flaw, the elastic is too stretchy. In other words the longer you wear them the more the elastic stretches.

Where have suspenders been all my life? They are SO MUCH more comfortable than a belt. I never really thought about how uncomfortable a belt can be, constraining your breathing, buckle sitting in your stomach when you're sitting. I'm 5'7" and 164lbs, so I don't need suspenders because belts don't fit me, I just never really thought about them before. I'm was so happy with these, I bought a second one in another color.StyleIf you are embarrassed to wear these, I just wouldn't bother buying them. But they really smarten up a dress shirt & slacks setup. You can also make yourself look a bit taller by having your pants higher up on your body (thereby visually lengthening your leg line). I would try suspenders BEFORE you get your pants hemmed, because if you get your pants hemmed, before the suspenders, you might get them hemmed too short. If you want to hide them, you can wear these under a suit/sport coat or any jacket (I use these under my denim and corduroy jackets) and no one can see them. My girlfriend seems to tolerate it. At least, she is still with me.How to Make it WorkIf you want these, you MUST get buttons sowed into your pants. I had my tailor do it for less than $10. I just gave him the suspenders so he could see where to put the six new buttons, and it took him no time at all. One thing to mention, if the pants are too tight, these 6 new buttons can press into your waist and hurt a bit. Just make sure your pants aren't too tight before you have new buttons put in. Remember these buttons are INSIDE the waistline of your pants...not outside. Although I supposed you could do outside without a problem. It's just normally that the buttons are sowed inside the waistline of your pants.UtilityWith a set of shirt stays / sock garters, you are all set! I highly recommend shirt stays to keep your dress shirt tucked in, and no one can see them. I have a review posted about them. You might get a laugh or two. But seriously, if you are dressed nicely and need to move around like I do (teacher) suspends and shirt stays are a great combo to take your mind off working about if your pants are too low or your shirt is untucked. You can just focus on work AND be comfortable.Happy Shopping!

Item arrived promptly, as described. The tabs seem to be a sturdy leather. Received extra buttons, which was nice. Adjustable length gives a good fit.

I tried other suspenders, but they were not very good. These work great.

It seems that it is very difficult to find good information on how to pick the right suspender length. Any instructions I can find say to put your pants on and measure from where the suspenders would attach in the back, over your shoulder, and then to where they attach in the front. You then take this measurement (in inches) and order a size that is at minimum that length or longer. For me that number is 52 inches for cross back style suspenders and 51 for the Y back. I ordered 54 inch clip on cross back suspenders and they fit with 6 to 7 inches of extra strap length. I then decided to try these button on ones and again ordered the 54 inch - to my surprise they were actually 6 inches longer! The adjusters on my clip on suspenders sat just below my chest but with the button on attachments the adjusters were nearly on top of my shoulders. They "Y" in the back was also up really high - nearly to the back of my neck! As it turns out - the button on attachments add 3 inches of length to both the front and the back, which means they will actually fit 6 inches longer than the clip-ons do.These suspenders were shipped to me promptly and the quality of the suspenders is absolutely fine. However, for me they are way to long and I consider them to be unwearable. So far the seller has not been very communicative with me in regards to "approving" my request to return them but they happily took my money and promptly shipped me the 46 inch suspenders that I ordered as soon as I discovered that these ones did not fit me right.My advice - take your measurements carefully and take 6 inches off the size you need if you select the button on attachments which "should" have you getting the fit right the first time. Otherwise, you may be in for a bit of a hassle when you try and return them.Edit:While they were delayed in responding - the seller did reply to me and refund my purchase. As I have no concerns with the quality of this product and feel that the seller has treated me fairly I have updated my review to 5 stars instead of the original 3.
