This is the best caulk gun ever! I'm a woman and I would fight with those other caulk guns. They busted the bottom, caulk would go everywhere and there was a lot of waste. But this one, this is it! I have used this caulk gun so much, I've had it for a year and it's still working. There's no waste, it uses every bit of it, it's easy to use, it's not bulky, it's just great! I can't believe that they still have those big, ugly, hard to use caulk guns. This is a must buy! I'm getting another one just in case something happens to the one that I have that's how much I like it.

I like the gun real well. Works as advertised. My only knock is that you can't roll the tube in the gun after starting it.

This is a nice looking tool, attention was paid on how it was constructed. Clearly a lot of effort spent on design and thinking of a new way to design a caulking gun. That said, the effort clearly failed. The concept of the thing is that an abrasive sleeve grabs the cartridge and pulls it backwards against a fixed plunger. This requires of course that the tube is cut in some way on its way backwards and that the abrasive sleeve has enough "grip" to expel the caulk and overcome the force needed to cut through the cartridge. This is where the first problem arises, as the abrasive wears off and gets clogged with the paint and material from the cartridges, so it looses its grip quickly. This means that only relatively soft cartridges can be cut, i.e. the thin plastic ones, not cardboard or aluminum tubes. It also means that any adhesive or caulk with higher viscosity will not be expelled easily. So you cannot use this for heavy adhesives like most contractor's adhesives (especially when cold) or sikaflex. The fact it cuts the cartridge also means you cannot turn the cartridge around to align your angle cut tip with the job at hand, so it becomes quite unwieldy to use. When putting too much force on it, to get heavy adhesive out, mine burst apart and I sent it back for a refund, all within a week or so of purchasing it. Final conclusion: this is a gimick, not a serious tool, really not worth its price of twice that of a traditional caulking gun.

I really like this caulking gun. It's the only innovation we've had in caulking guns for decades. One thing, it's hard to release the pressure after using it. Be prepared to lose some caulking after you stop using it. I've only had one caulking gun that the caulking stopped after you release the pressure, and for some reason they don't sell that gun any more. Go figure, the one thing that actually worked better than any other, and they don't sell it any more. But, this gun is a good gun, and well worth making the change. Balance is great. Space saving technology works perfectly.

I saw this and thought I would give it a try. It wasn't cheap, but after using it for a considerable amount of time, I will say it is worth the extra money. It takes conserderably less effort to dispense caulk than a conventional gun. I used it side by side with a conventional caulking gun because of neding a diferent color, and I didn't want to remove the tube I was using. It is way easrsier on you hands , requiring about 1/2 the pull effort. But, that is the one drawback on this gun - because it splits the plastic tube as you use it, I didn't want to hassel with trying to line up the split tube to the cutter if I swaped tubes.

The Siligun is what you get when someone comes up with a truly innovative but flawed and fundamentally unnecessary solution to a problem someone else already solved. It's neat but, as my headline says, don't throw away your other caulk guns. Disclaimer: I just tried it with half a tube I'd already run through my standard caulk gun. I'll update this review in the future if its performance changes. -= The Good =- It actually does what it says. The tube is drawn into the gun as you go. This means the overall assembly does indeed get more compact as you advance the tube. It's easy to load and doesn't take much pressure on the handle to advance the tube. -= The Bad =- There's quite a list. 1. One of the neat things about a regular caulk gun is that you can cut the tip on the caulk tube at an angle. Then, if you need to reposition the angle on the tip, you can spin the caulk tube in the gun. With the Siligun, since it cuts into the tube, you can't rotate the caulk tube in the gun. The orientation the tube is in when you start is the way it'll be when you end. 2. Versus a standard rod-press caulk gun, the Siligun doesn't advance the tube as much per squeeze of the trigger. So if you're trying to run a bead, you'll need to pump the trigger more frequently; meaning you'll need to be super smooth or else able to tool the caulk after application. 3. Because the tube is pulled INTO the gun as you go, each pull of the trigger actually pulls the tip of the caulk tube AWAY from the work material! As such, you'll need to move the gun closer to the material as you pull the trigger to run a constant bead. 4. While the whole thing does end up pretty compact once the caulk tube is fed into the Siligun a bit, its blockiness can actually cause problems getting it into certain spots. For example, I was using it to caulk a seam between a soffit panel and fascia board. Once the caulk tube was far enough into the Siligun, I needed to take care of the angle I held it at or it would hit the fascia board. After I finished the first tube, I switched back to my regular caulk gun with the next tube. 5. As others have noted, there's no let-off on the pressure on the caulk tube. Yes, the Siligun stops *dispensing* caulk when you let off the trigger. But it doesn't let the pressure off the caulk tube, so you'll still get caulk coming out of the tip for a bit. With a regular caulk gun, pop the lever on the rod and the pressure is off the tube. My workaround was to release the clutch on the Siligun and partially press the tube out of the gun. This meant I then had to pump the handle a good couple times to get back to a working state. -= Summary =- I'm torn on whether to return this or not. There may be times when the compactness comes in handy. But for 99% of the situations I face, I don't see this replacing my standard manual caulk gun (or definitely, for larger jobs, my battery-powered gun). TLDR; More of a novelty than a useful tool.

普通のガンとして、問題無く使えます。 タジマのコンボイのように、絞った後ダラダラ垂れてくる事の無いタイプで使いやすいです。 コーキングを送り出す量が若干少ないですが、それも自分的には使いやすいと感じます。 最大の特徴であるコンパクトさは、やはり素晴らしいです！後ろに出た空の筒を 塩ビノコ等で切り飛ばせばどんどん取り回しが良くなります！ コーキングを別種の物に交換する作業も問題なくできますが、何度もやると筒の被服がビリビリに破けてきます。 素晴らしいアイデアの素晴らしい製品ですが、価格がやや高すぎると感じます。 構造的に弱そうな部分も散見され、5年以上使っても、まるで壊れる気配の無い タジマのコンボイの代わりが務まるかが心配です。 高価格なら相応に頑強にして欲しいです。 が、最初に使ってみて、楽しかった事で、もう元は取ったかなー？とも思います！ 追記 コーキングを掴む紙ヤスリのような部分が擦り減って上手く送れなくなりました。 半年くらい使えましたが、コーキングをメインで使う職種の方であれば、 耐久力がなさ過ぎると評価されると思います。使い勝手は抜群ですので、 改良品に期待しています。 更に追記 コーキングを掴むヤスリ状の部分を剥がしてみたら綺麗に剥がれました。 3M製のシート状のヤスリでした。 ホームセンターで買った120番の両面テープ付きヤスリを同じように貼って見た所、 見事元通りに動くようになりました！ これで延命しつつ修理不能な所が壊れるまで使ってみて、製品寿命としたいです。

Echt gute presse. Braucht wenig Platz und man kann damit gut arbeiten vor allem wenn der Platz etwas beengt ist. Braucht aber ein bisschen mehr Kraft aber man gewöhnt sich dran

Fonctionne très bien et le système anti-goutte est efficace. Le système est très pratique car il est beaucoup plus court (Pas de longue tige qui dépasse à l'arrière) et se faufile partout. Le système à l'air solide et simple.

It looks great and works as it should. The only minor issue was with the delivery guy. I watched from inside the building as he arrived and placed the package at the door. He didn't even try to ring the doorbell.
