I don’t want any colors that say they’re blue & be blue black or red that is burgundy/brown.** A: The set I bought is a “vintage” color set. So the red is a burgundy. One of the greens is kind of a sage color, another is olive. The purple shade is more of a “mauve.” They are GORGEOUS colors (IMO), but if you are going for “true” colors, this isn’t likely the set you’re looking for. **Q: Is the ink waterproof?** A: I used a few pens to make marks on white copy paper and the did not smear at all when I put several drops of water on the paper. I bought several different coloring pens to carry with me to places where I will probably have to wait my turn. I carry them in a canvas bag that has some drawings of words and have been coloring those in. I haven't tried to wash the bag. I also have a small coloring book. Doctor's offices seem to be the places where many of us sit and color. Some people carry pads. But archival. I dunno. Sounds like you're an artist. Probably. These pens are super nice for a cheap price! They are easily my favorite pen. I bought multicolors for my craft journal but I'm going to buy black/blue for business stuff. No one will be borrowing these! They are fantastically smooth writing, no skipping, feel nice in my hand. I'm left handed- no wet ink smears or wet ink on my hand while I write. The colors are vivid and even the lighter colors show up vibrant and legible on paper. They do not bleed through the paper.
