I simply connected the provided wire nuts to my existing wiring, then plugged the light fixture directly into the junction box. The entire process for each light took me less than ten minutes. The lights also come with strong spring clips that hold them securely in the ceiling without any wobbling. Once the lights were in, the real fun began. The Govee app makes controlling the lights effortless. I can easily adjust the brightness, color temperature, and choose from a seemingly endless array of colors. The lights are also incredibly vibrant and can be dimmed to a very low level without any flickering, which is perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere. I also love the different dynamic scene modes that cycle through colors, making it easy to set the mood for a party or just add a little excitement to a room. The lights are very good; they offer incredible brightness, the customization is more than sufficient, and they are really easy to install and connect to Wi-Fi. Personally, I use the lights in the morning to make it easier to wake up before the sun rises, without the need to use alarms that wake me up abruptly.

I was looking at the local hardware stores for some recessed lighting options, and everything was just so mundane and boring. Then I thought about Govee and all the other Govee LEDs I already had at home and wondered if they had any recessed lighting options, and they sure did. And actually the same or slightly cheaper than the ones at the store. And obviously being Govee, I knew they would have a lot more flexibility and options. The install was easy, they give you everything you need, even push in wire connectors, although I used my own Wago connectors. I bought a 6 + 3/8” recessed lighting hole saw kit for the ceiling, and while it did work, I would say that you should probably just use a 6” one because the one that I used made the holes a bit too big and the Govee lights barely cover the whole thing. Of course the Govee app is great. The brightness is good if you use the illumination mode, and you can choose the Kelvin of the white. Also never had any issues using Google Voice commands with Govee products either. Overall, a great idea for recessed lighting if you’re bored of the same old stuff from your local hardware store.

I installed these in our living room and wow, what a game changer. We have GOVEE smart lights on the outside of the house and the wife was hesitant to put them inside as well. Well after installing them she has seen light - literally. Interfacing with Alexa is amazing as you set the color temperature and brightness levels from your own couch without the need for the Govee app. The Govee app is nice too. We used it to set up lighting for movie night and used it to make a Halloween light show inside the house for when the trick-or-treaters came to our door. I took off one star because they did not install flat in the sections of our ceiling where there were floor joists. They stuck down about a 1/4" and required some creative wood working to make them fit flush to the ceiling. Other than that, installation was breeze and setting them up couldn't have been easier.

Love Govee, the quality is light out( excuse the pun) super easy to install. The App control is great, I have it paired with my alexa for voice control all over my house you can change the colors to theme your movie or party night.

Sometimes getting the more expensive lights are worth it. It was easier to install, all the lights actually worked even though I bought them used (Got the other version new and it didn’t work). Set up was intuitive.

Really nice! We had to buy an extra ring to secure them in but they look nice in our hallway and bathroom. With the app you can change couples or brightness. We really like them

There is a delay for these to turn on as others have noted... it's not at the speed of light folks. But they look good, install easily, put off nice light. They are damp rated, i couldn't find that info in the description, but it says it on the lights itself. Happy with them so far.

Muy buen producto algo caro para lo que es pero creo que tiene buenas funciones, el wifi no es tan potente pero el Bluetooth agarra muy bien, siento que la app podría ser más facil y es algo confusa la navegación, los use para iluminar una cochera y quede muy conforme y el tamaño esta excelente

Very easy install if you have basic lighting experience. Colours are bright, lights are adjustable (K) and dimmable. EVERYTHING is done in the app. Dimmer switch on the wall will make these less useful. Use a regular switch. I have these on a dimmer because I thought I could dim them but you can't they, Just flicker and turn off. You need to dim them in the app. Again everything is doen in the app. You can save light settings that you like such as 100% bright at Purple colour or 2 lights on 2 lights off etc. These are bright, we only have 4 pot lights spread out in a 400 sqft area. I thought I would need to do work to add more lights but these 4 x 6inch lights are bright enough for the space. It was surprising! Very happy with the install, I had brackets in the ceiling with a bowl housing for the old light. I was able to pull down the bowl, the bracket would not come out it was installed before the ceiling drywall was on (by the builder) I used a long screwdriver and pressed up on the side of the old bracket until in bent up enough to fit the new lights. Excellent lights, very easy to pair to the app. Installation is also quite straightforward. The scenes and color options are great.
