Very good once put together. It would benefit from an additional note in the booklet.
An excellent fan, and really pushes the air. It's neat and tidy, with a heavy circular base that you won't trip over; (a smaller "footprint" than some). The base is covered by a nice but quite thin white plastic cover. This cover is quite easily split, cut, or damaged however if you bash it accidentally when pushing the stand around the floor (before or after assembly). For me, the first hurdle to negotiate in assembling the fan, was to find the shiny metal extension pillar shown in the contents parts list and diagram. I couldn't find mine at all in the packaging, so I assumed that this extension piece must already be installed inside one of the two main halves of the stand, ready to be pulled out, but it was however nowhere to be seen! After ransacking the cardboard box and all the remaining packaging again with no success, and contemplating returning the fan to Amazon as "incomplete", I returned yet again to the two main pillar tubes where again only black plastic met my eyes; no shiny metal. One last determined examination of the plastic, and a firm tug on one of them finally revealed the missing shiny tube, hidden out of sight, and sulking quietly beneath! It surrendered with little protest, and joining the two main tubes with it was then straightforward. The rear half of the safety cage, and the five bladed fan were easy to install, and of course the screw thread for the blades is the reverse of normal direction (so that torque doesn't unscrew the blades when running). Fitting the front half of the cage proved a different matter though. Most domestic fans rely on a simple metal hook/flange at the top to hang the front cage onto the rear part; two or three swing clips secure the two together, then a small discreet nut and bolt at the bottom prevents the cage being removed accidentally (in particular by curious children). This has always worked well. This fan however adopts a different style. The two halves of the cage have no swing clips or latches of any kind; they are held together only by a surrounding plastic strap which is suitably profiled to fit around the rims, and is tightened finally into place by a small bolt and nut. It's a perfectly good arrangement, except that without someone's help to hold the reluctant parts together while you tighten the nut, they will between them defy you to the last! However, if you've got someone to provide that extra hand or two, you'll find things much, much easier! Having said all that, the fan is very good once you've got it together. It's good value in my opinion, and certainly does the job you want in hot humid weather. As for noise levels, I don't think, even on the fastest speed setting, the fan could be accused of excessive noise, though the level is a little greater than less powerful fans. I'm pretty experienced at assembling things out of a box, but having put this particular fan together, I'm now suitably humbled, even embarrassed, at not locating the "missing" extension tube for the best part of half an hour or more!. So, regarding this tube; if only the manufacturer had added a bold note somewhere on the illustration and parts list, "This item is located within the lower main tube beneath a plastic insert", things would have gone much better, for me at least. I hope that others locate the extension tube faster than I did, and can successfully do battle with the fan covers!

Good Wall Fan!
The wall fan was bought for our home gym and it serves the purpose well. It’s powerful and easy to install, the assembly was a little tricky in terms of putting the 2 guards together with the provided plastic rim that crews the 2 halves together. The wire is short around a meter but we had a plug in the wall so works for us. All in all not super quiet but very effective speed oscillation and remote control, that said in a gym or non bedroom environment quite effective.

Before you buy / check out low reviews, read
Hi there. This is the second one of these fans I have purchased in 18 months, so impressed with the first that I bought for my mother that I got myself one. Now if you check the bad reviews of this product, many of them are from folks that had difficulty assembling the item or on occasion had a part missing. Quite how this can be the case in terms of difficulty assembling when it has very few parts I am at a bit of a loss to understand when reading them. So, if you buy this fan, some tips for happy duronic fanning: 1. Lay out all the parts, keep in mind you will have to undo a small holding screw that is holding the fanblade and cages together during transport. It seems many have come a cropper due to this. 2. Take your time, assemble the fan from the bottom up. 3. When it comes to the cage, put the back cage housing on BEFORE you put the fan blades on. Dont forget the nut to hold the cage on the motor housing, then pop your fan blades on. 4. Remember, when putting the fan blades on, the fan blade nut tightens counter clockwise. 5. When putting on front cage section, do not adjust the rubber strap. Just pop the strap on the front cage section over its lip, hold that up to the back part and you can pull the rubber strap over both cage sections lips. After that you can tighten it via the adjustment screw if needed but it should be pretty ok as it is, unless yours came real lose but the two I bought were fine, no adjustment needed. Missing parts: This happens to many a seller and product, it's life. The fact that people wasted their time and money and carbon emissions sending items like this back for a missing part (as can be seen in reviews) is just bonkers to my mind. My second fan turned up with a missing nut to hold the back part of the cage on the motor housing. I contacted duronics here and told them of a missing part. I expected 48 to 72hrs for a reply but I got one within 12hours of sending, they apologised and sent over an exploded diagram of the fan with the parts you get sent and numbers on them. I sent back the part number I was missing that same day, and they had the part to me within 72 hours after that. What more can you ask for from customer service?? at least give em a chance to solve the problem eh. Sending things back without at least trying to get the missing part, then bad reviewing a good product with good service, is just stupid in my book as such good service is rare, but this is what some are like I guess. Anyway, these are good fans, overpowered for the size, usually 16 inch fans = 40watt motors, these are 60 watt. V few are at this size so if you want a real strong breeze from a relatively small footprint simple to use fan, these would tick that box. Best wishes. and p.s. No, I do not work for duronics, nor do I have any family nor friends nor know anyone who does, don't even know where they are based, but good product and service is worth my time to commend.

Fan does not tilt as described
This is one of the nastiest pieces of rubbish I've ever suffered the misfortune to unpack. The packaging itself is a disaster requiring you to scrub and dissolve sticker gum and cellophane from several components before assembly. Be advised that this fan does NOT tilt as described, it incorporates a spring that immediately returns the fan to horizontal whenever you attempt to point it downward. As far as I can tell the only way to keep the fan pointed downward is to dismantle it, remove the spring, drill the housing and screw it in place at a permanent angle yourself. Absolute waste of money and went straight in the bin, thankfully Amazon processed an immediate refund when I supplied evidence of all the defects.

Great fan, very sturdy
Excellent fan, I was a bit worried that it might not be strong enough but it’s really sturdy, has a good multi speed fan and optional oscillation feature, and also a remote control which is very handy. Easy to use, it’s reasonably quiet and has a heavy base so no chance of toppling over.

not worth the RRP. Very powerful and quiet but some poor quality parts. Ace customer service though.
I got this on a day where it was half price at £25 instead of £50. I am happy I did as I feel it is not worth any more than what I paid for it. The three stars awarded represents it as a whole. For power as a fan it is five star. But for build quality it scores a lowly two star in my opinion. The materials used to produce this are cheap, fragile and flimsy. The instructions were awful. I found them difficult to decipher and apply. The telescopic part of the fan was stuck inside and took a lot of patience and effort to remove it. I eventually built it and got to the point where I was fitting the front protective grill using the plastic ring. The ring covers both lips on the front and back grill and you are required to screw the bolt to secure it in place. The bolt sits in two parts in enclosed housing. This housing is glued on and one fell off upon tightening. Previous fans I possess have these parts that either slide on and off or are plastic welded to the part. But tightening a bolt which is housed in glued on plastic makes it weak. I obviously was annoyed as I had ordered this in the middle of a heatwave. I improvised and used cable ties to secure the front protective grill and contacted the seller the next day. They were brilliant and sent me out a replacement part under Special Delivery that day and it arrived the next. It is the same part so still has the same problem, except now I know it is so fragile I will treat it accordingly. Now, for the good part. This fan is very powerful. It moves air very well. Ideal for a heatwave. Way more powerful than any fan I have owned. Its noise to power ratio is also impressive. It isn't quiet but it is a lot more quiet than it should be given its power. It is still quiet enough to sleep with it on full power. I haven't used the timer function so I cannot comment on how well that works. Apart from the fact it is a mechanical timer that ticks quietly. On full power it wobbles ever so slightly which is only noticeable on hard flooring. To reduce this make sure the blades are secured as tightly as they can be. Carpet will absorb the vibration more and it will be unnoticeable. Lastly, one of the blades of the fan had a safety advice sticker on which I tried to remove. It left very difficult to remove adhesive paste on the blade that would have soon been covered with dust and grime. This kind of adhesive residue can be cleaned off using olive / vegetable oil and a cloth. Thank you for reading my opinions and information contained in this review. I'm a fan of this fan!
Purchased this wall mounted fan to go into our utility as it gets a bit too warm with the polycarb roof. It's a really good product, a decent sized head on it and, with it being a 5 blade fan, you seem to get a really good airflow from it. Simple to use, the timer function is really useful. Some people have said it's really noisy. Please see the attached video. I wouldn't say it's overly noisy although you need to expect some noise from a fan this size. Ours is mounted on a hollow stud and plasterboard wall and I was concerned that you may be able to hear the "drone" when it was running - you can't hear anything through the wall though so don't be put off by noise. The only reason I have knocked off a star for "easy to install" was, as others have said, the ridiculously short cable length and the fact that it is also coming out of the top of the housing. I ended up putting a longer flex on it and re-routing it through one of the slots in the bottom of the housing (as you can also see on the attached vid) - more appropriate for how we are set up. Other than that, installation is simple. One bracket to attach to the wall and it's job done! I'd recommend this fan.
