I wanted something to secure and protect my rifle. Years ago a fell on a rifle while traversing a hillside. Bent the scope, trigger guard and damaged the wood pretty bad. This pack nestles the rifle between my back and all my other necessities. Protected and secure. And while it’s stowed I have enough area to store my tent frame. It’s not a wide pack so it stays centered on my body. I’m 5’11” and 200 and it fits me perfect. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A year of waiting and reseaching *by I***T on March 28, 2013* I bought this for camping & hiking the back country of the Sierra Nevada's.I have been wanting to buy this back pack for over a year. I have looked at them all from eberlestock and this one was my choice for a few reasons. Its made to hold what you got for 2 or 3 guns(pockets & Molle) but the actual room inside the bag isn't very big for my liking a little bit bigger then a standard back pack. Granted you can fit alot in a regular one, packing camp stuff in it is some what hard with cloths and food.It has a crap ton of belts, almost like a straight jacket. x)Everytime without failure when I put it on I forget to buckle something. It can be annoying but its what the bags designed for, to shake rattle and roll and keep everything together without stuff falling out on a more extreme level then usual.
