And assembling and standing the whole thing up is just about IMPOSSIBLE if, god forbid, you are trying to do this as a surprise for someone and have to do it yourself. Also, an 8 ft 4x4 will work just fine. I used 10 ft, as recommended, and the cocoon is like 4 ft off the ground. We basically need a trampoline to get into it. Straight garbage product. Hang your cocoon from a tree and save yourself a lot of money, time, and frustration. Standard 4x4 treated lumber was a snug fit. It took a bit of persuasion to get the parts fully seated.
