Better than Ruffwear!! Great quality
I love this harness! I used to only buy Ruffwear for a long time, but they kept going out of stock for the pink color, so I tried this. This harness is so much thicker and a much better quality. It has solid metal D rings for the back and front (to prevent pulling), and has a nice secure fit . My husky can’t get out of this one vs the Ruffwear one. I’m going to buy these from now on! The only complaint I have is the color isn’t advertised as the true color, but I still like this pink color.

Perfect fit!
IT FITS!My Aussie is more slender than most and it’s been difficult to find a harness that’ll fit him properly without being too loose in the neck and too tight in the body and vice-versa.I’ve been trying out a grip of two-click harnesses the past few years and finally, something works! It’s sturdy, looks great, and he seems to dig it.

Company Helped with Broken Harness
**UPDATE AUGUST , 2019**I got in contact with Embark via email. I discussed the failure of the harness and what I thought could be improved. Lo and behold, they sent me an updated version of the harness, with more solid bluckes, and thicker metal D rings. The harness is now held up for well over a year. I have to say I am deeply impressed with how responsive and Embark has been with their customers. I am also happy to say, that the new large harness is definitely sufficient for my Alaskan Malamute.**AUGUST 26TH, 2019**We had a good few months with the harness. However, today it looks like part of the plastic components broke. The part that broke was the plastic adjusters on the right neck strap. I'm going to have to remove a few stars from my review, because this clearly shows that the plastic components on the harness are quite fragile. Keep in mind, I take the harness off my dog when we are done with our walks/runs.**APRIL 26TH, 2019**Shopping around for a harness was a pain, and I was initially unsure of the the Embark Adventure Harness. I hope my review can help you. There were many reviews complaining about the front D ring attachment, so I'll get to that in a bit. Still, I am very happy with the harness now that I have it.The Adventure Harness is well designed- Embark knew what a functional harness should be. The harness is made of very light weight material. It feels lighter than any of the similar-looking harness you can find on Amazon. The material is also quite smooth. Slipping it onto your dog is very easy. There is no struggling to get it over his head. As a result, my dog was much happier to put the Embark Adventure Harness on than his old Good2Go harness. That being said, make sure your dog does not chew on this harness. The fabric is so light, that if they did chew on it, they could probably damage the nylon quite easily.Embark also knew what they were doing when they made the initial color selection for the Adventure Harness. The Adventure Harness comes in black/grey, teal, and orange. The teal and orange harnesses are bright and easy to see at a distance. Orange is an especially important color for when you and your pup hike! The bright colors also help you to see if ticks have latched onto your dog. So, thank you so much Embark for including teal and orange! The next feature is the handle. The handles looks like it is securely sewn into the harness. It isn't very large and it sits quite close to the rest of the harness. Despite this,it is easy to grab onto if you need to help your dog or keep him close to you. This feature is not included on many harnesses (even Ruffwear does not include it)- it was very important when I was choosing one! Thank you Embark! The inside of the chest-plate also features a spot to write down your dog's name and your phone number. While this is a nice feature, the lable is just printed onto the fabric. With use, I can see it wearing off or washing off. Perhaps a sewn-on lable would be a better idea? The buckles for the Embark Adventure Harness are also made over extremely light plastic. To make them even lighter, they have slits in them. I am not too fond of this; I inspect them before every outing. While I understand the slits keep the buckles light and production costs low, they should be made of solid plastic or metal. The buckles are the only part of the harness that feel cheap and make me nervous. I think a metal buckle (of a similar material to the attachment points) would be a better, more secure choice. The back attachment point is made of a relatively light ring. It feels solid and the stitching looks secure. Now, for that infamous front D ring! In many of the reviews from 2018, I see that the front attachment point had a thin D ring attached to it. The front D ring was made of a round piece of metal that was slightly open on the flat side. In this older version of the Adventure Harness, the D ring was only for attaching your dog's ID tags- it was NOT designed for attaching the leash. The nylon webbing was where they expected you to attach the leash. Why? I am not sure, but people assumed the D ring was the front attachment point. This is what caused all those front D ring failures. HOWEVER........The D ring on my harness is different. As you can tell in my over-exposed image, the front attachment point now consists of a solid, thick ring. I can see that there is no opening on the ring at all. As a result, it seems to hold up just fine. The webbing it is attached to is also firmly sewn into the harness. Unlike my dogs previous harness, the webbing does not shift much - this makes the front attachment point very secure. Overall, the decision to make the front attachment point a solid, metal ring was a brilliant one. I can tell that Embark really listens to their customers!Overall, I'm happy with this product and Embark's responsiveness. I will keep this review updated as I continue to use this harness.

A note about the size chart - Frenchie
I have a Frenchie who's big head makes it difficult to find harnesses that fit both neck and chest correctly. The size chart says the XS size neck max is 17", which is technically correct... but it is REALLY difficult to get the buckle to loosen up to that point. I had a heck of a time fighting to get it to loosen up all the way, so if you're not sure, just go a size up. The S size is only a few inches bigger and your fingers will appreciate it. I found that the chest opens up to 20".Overall the harness is well built.---- EDIT ----I received the S size harness today and it's unfortunately too big, the length of the chest pad pushes up too high, whereas the XS straps were too small around her chest and neck with no more slack. I have updated the pictures to show the difference. The small size comes up too high on her neck to be comfortable for any length of time. She is a small Frenchie, only 22 pounds. It's too bad as they seem well made.

Good quality and value
We have a 6 months old cavapoo puppy that still needs training on leash walk. We have tried many different no-pull harnesses and this fits him the best and is also the most tolerable for our puppy. The straps are easy to adjust. The whole harness feels sturdy and allows him full range of motion. For reference, he weighs 12 lbs, and the last time we measured him his neck was 10” and girth 17”.

Great quality dog gear!
Excellent quality, looks sharp, and seems very comfortable for Australian Cattledog, Annie! This is her second harness from Embark; this time we also bought a leash and collar to coordinate! All excellent quality and they look so great! Love this company!

Don’t waste money on ruff wear products. This one is is x1000 better
This is exactly what I was looking for. We had a Ruff wear one before and it was twice the amount and just crap quality. This one he the material feels nice and you can actually adjust to size. Vs the rough wear one where u couldn’t even adjust the size that much.

Poor fit and doesn’t stop pulling
Our 1 yr old rescue pit-lab mix is untrained and pulls strongly on the leash. I ordered this harness based on other positive reviews. Toba measures 28 inches girth and description says if borderline between sizes, order bigger size. With the girth cinched up as tight as in goes, the fit is snug, but the excess straps just dangle to the side and look ridiculous. Tuck them in and they fall right out. Some type of belt loop would be nice. The neck is adjusted as tight as I can make it to barely make it over his wide pittie head, but ends up too loose around his neck. So when he is clipped in the front and starts to pull, the entire harness and leash just shift to one side and the pulling continues. I am skeptical if any of these “no pull” harnesses with a front clip actually do what they purport to do. On the positive side it looks nice, the handle is a must have with a reactive dog, and when he lunges for rabbit, squirrel, etc, the front clip does spin him around. I think Embark should have more overlap on their sizing. Probably should have ordered medium, but anticipated he will fill out more. I’m also thinking we need a harness that clips around the neck, in order to get a better fit in that area. I’ll keep looking.
