Good motor for electric screwdriver
The motor spins at 120rpm at the shaft @4.2v . Although idk how much rpm it goes at12v but surely its spins much faster at 12v without heating . Running it at 5v is optimum for screwdriver use. Descent torque . Managed to open tight screws from plastic using this motor . Mine came with a black shroud around gear thus protecting the gear .

Torquey motor but with one weak point
First thing to do when you get this motor is take a glue gun and seal the points where the red and black wires are soldered to the tabs on the back cover. The soldering is of questionable quality and wires come off too easily. This renders the motor useless as the 28 AWG wires are almost impossible to re-solder on the tiny tabs with the small plastic cover on the back likely burning before the solder melts and giving off a foul odor. You cannot even take off this back cover during soldering as it serves as the assembly for brushes of this brushed DC motor. I am using for an invention of mine that is a mop with rotary head. The motor and power supply are concealed are in a metal pipe. I have used this motor in my first prototype. It is doing decent job. After sealing the soldered connections in glue the wires get some support. The motor is nice and torquey. The 3 mm shaft has a flat surface for solid coupling with set screw. If only they had taken care to provide durable solder joints, this would be a perfect 5.
