FitStill Windslayer Cover Frame Case Side Door for 13/12/11/10/9 Black ...

Got this a a bit of a whim. But really does a good job of reducing wind noise and provides a bit of dirt protection when used on the bike. A very good value for what you get and for how durable it has been.

The media could not be loaded. Works and fits great. Can still hear everything and cuts wind noise out at high speeds. I use this mounted on my motorcycle for track days and it speeds of 170 mph+ it works great!!

Good and durable, but not usable in sunny summer weather - causes the GoPro to overheat

Everything looks nice and snug but the final test will be after my motorcycle ride.

Purchased on 12-02-2023 for $8.99.Frankly, this was an impulse buy.After I got my GoPro HERO12 Black, I was figuring out what accessories that I needed to purchase. I saw this and thought, why not. On my full frame Canon, I use a "dead cat" cover over the external microphone to minimize wind noise, so this should function similarly.Will it be as effective as a furry "dead cat"? Probably not. But, based on the reviews, it appears to work, so it's better to have it than not.It was cheap enough that it wouldn't be a big deal if I end up never using it. Besides, I get an extra battery door and another lens cover, too, both of which do fit correctly.I've purchased a number of FiTSTILL's accessories---including silicone covers/sleeves that fit really well---for the GoPro HERO12 and Insta360 X3. I have been happy with all of their products, until now. This is the first item that I am DISsatisfied with.Even though I believe that this cover will be functional in reducing wind noise, the fit is terrible. It's unFITSTILL.- The cutouts do NOT line up correctly to their respective buttons and screens on the HERO11 or HERO12.- It's a Whack-A-Mole fit. When you pull, tug, and stretch to align one hole, it pulls, tugs, and stretches to MISALIGN a separate hole. I tried pulling, pushing, tugging, rotating, etc. every way, every direction, every angle. All cutouts just don't line up correctly.- The foam is twice as thick on the back compared to the front. Is this the SNAFU that's causing the bad fit?On the item description pictures, all of the holes/cutouts align perfectly to the GoPro. Definitely not so.The Windslayer leaves me wanting and disappointed.

I should have bought this earlier. Previously you could hardly hear dialogue over the wind noise but with this you can hear the voices beautiful and clear.It is a bit bulky and I worried that it would rip after a few times accessing the power port but they provided a replacement power access panel that allows you to plug in without removing the foam.As I opened with, I wish I had bought this a year ago.

Did not filter out wind noise and caused the Go Pro Hero 12 to over heat and shutdown after a few minutes of recording.
