These are beautiful plates and I have used them often. Even though they are plastic, they don't look cheap. I like to use them as serving plates for cakes, cookies, brownies, etc., when serving outside or bringing food to a friend's house. I don't have to worry about them being fragile and chipping or breaking. They are solid but light weight, and are very pretty. Be aware that these are labeled "top rack" only, which means they really should NOT go in a dishwasher - because typically a full size dinner plate cannot fit on the top rack. Practically speaking, these should be hand-washed. But they are easy to clean by hand, especially since they are light weight. And they are worth it.

I bought these dishes for a buffet potluck supper I was hosting. Because guests were not necessarily sitting at a table, but instead were balancing plates on their laps or eating outside, I wanted sturdy unbreakable tableware. These plates were exactly what I wanted. I received many compliments on them. They are so pretty that the next month's hostess asked to borrow them because she didn't want to use her ceramic dinnerware or to buy paper plates. I gladly loaned them out. These plates are a really nice product.

I wanted to wait until I completed a season of use before writing a review. I bought two sizes of plates and two sizes of bowls. They have exceeded my expectations. They look beautiful on my outdoor table and they held up very well to lots of use and abuse. I love them so much I did not want to put them away for the season (so I didn't!) I plan to add to this collection for next summer. Definitely recommend.

NOTICE: "Not microwave safe" written on the back. If you do they bubble and clear coat comes off. Other than that we LOVE them. Plastic, sturdy, bright and pretty. I am ordering more and the complimenting bowls.

Searched for a long time for melamine plates of this size and weight. I was looking to replace only the large sized plates from a Costco set that was thick and heavy melamine. I returned another set that were paper plate thin, and was super excited to find these in a beautiful pattern! Debbi's review had me concerned about the brightness of the colors, but it looks like the photo in my house. I think she needs less harsh lighting or something. They complement my white/dark blue and yellow kitchen as well as the granite countertops. They survive the dishwasher, but are very easy to hand wash, I use them in the microwave to heat up plated dinner and they are just fine. As someone else mentioned, they are completely flat with a slight edge, so no pooling/confining the food to an 8" diameter. We use them daily. I would buy again but I doubt I'll need to. Don't know if I'd pay the list price, but for $34 ish they are an excellent value.

These plates are SOLID. They have a decent weight and a nice feel to them, even being melamine. They feel substantial, unlike some of the cheaper melamine sets. The pattern is lovely and the glaze/varnish/shiny layer is deep and even. The surface has a light scalloping on top, which ends up adding to the appeal. I wasn't sure about these because the price was a bit more than I was hoping, but these are nice enough to use when company comes over (particularly company with kids, which is the reason I bought melamine plates). They wash easily. A lovely set.

These are awesome plates & actually look just like they are ceramic. Kids said they’re too nice to use outside! Love them & so far I have only sporadically but them in the dishwasher & so far so good & have retained their shine. They are just the best of outdoor dinner wear & worth getting if the colors suit your decor. Durable & ceramic like of weight.
