LOVE IT! Beautiful sounds. I do play it w mallots. My hands and fingers are too small to get sound w just hands.

I was concerned about my purchase because of negative reviews on mass produced Hand pans coming from China. I took a chance because of the low price. I was very pleased, the box arrived with a small hole in the side, but the hand pan was safe and well packaged and shipped inside the soft padded case. The tone was exceptional on all the notes and in tune. I bought the 12-note version and highly recommend it for anyone who is starting out on hand pan.

Don't expect the best tuning or quality but for a beginner and for my 6 year old it's good enough. He loves percussions of all sorts and he loves his hand pan so much. As I'm writing this review in realizing I never got the stand in the photo so for that I'll have to take this 5 I almost submitted and knock it down to a 4.

Absolutely as advertised! The sound quality and craftsmanship are both excellent.Its very easy to begin learning how to play. The notes are in harmony with each other,so you can't make a mistake. I'm very pleased with my purchase and I bet my grandson isgoing to want one too!

I thought I had a detailed review here, that explained, "out of tune" for this. I usually get pretty granular, lengthy concerning instruments.- Well, then, I'll now just say - this instrument was out of tune.Anything other, or after that is of no use - how it looks etc. or appears to be made. It's not "Wall Art", it's a musical instrument. So, I had all that, et alia, and it's not here it seems.So again, something is either "in tune" or it is not in tune - this was not in tune, and returned.I hope that helps someone.

I own several of these hand pans. This one is by far my favorite one. Not only does it have 12 notes, the notes actually sound in tune with each other. The tone is excellent. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is in the market for one. The price is veryvreasonable. This drum sounds better than ones I paid three times more for.

Probably good for a child or beginner to learn how to find the notes and just enjoy playing around with this type of instrument to see if you really like it before making a large investment
