Mrs Ball's Original Recipe Chutney (470g)

Love this brand of chutney. It’s not hot or spicy. Mrs Balls is made in South Africa. Add it to marinades, and eat it with curry.

Ordered this to go on my Broojides, but I think this chutney would be good on damn near anything else. Burgers, toast, as a glaze for chicken. It did seem to have some leaked onto the jar, but the seal was still intact- almost like another jar opened and spilled on it?

My daughter brought a bottle back with her from South Africa. I bought a bottle on Amazon. Great chutney!

I can get this stuff for 25 rand, man. It’s the genuine article, but only buy in America if you’re desperate for SA food, bru.

Chutney review famous in South Africa. It was extremely well packed in bubblewrap and in a seriously strong box that I had to cut open with a steel boxcutter . I like to use it on a sandwich of ‘baby boule sourdough bread from Wholefoods’ and ‘Unexpected cheddar cheese’ from Trader Joe’s. Made in the UK a very good sharp cheddar. Jennifer A. My favourite for years. It comes from S Africa and well wOrth the month. The peach chutney is also excellent. Enjoy.

In my opinion this is the best chutney and as my local supermarkets no longer stock this product, I was beyond thrilled that I could get it through Amazon and it was cheaper than what I used to pay at the supermarket so, win-win!! Really lovely chutney that has a nice flavour without that "bite" that some fruity chutneys have. I have been using this chutney for over 40 years and just prefer this to all the rest! Hope Amazon continue to stock it?!?

I made up a box of condiments for the hubs for Christmas as he believes he's a connoisseur in such matters and I'm pleased to say that this is his favourite! A brilliant price compared to some others I got and a "lovely flavour"! I'm not sure Mrs Ball designed it to be slathered all over a chicken and sweetcorn sandwich but that was today's offering by the sandwich god. We will be purchasing again 👍
