Easy to carry
This book contains the essentials. It is divided into categories so you can locate the phrases quickly. It will not make you an expert but was perfectly adequate for my 16 day vacation trip to Italy.

Gives you what you need
I am planning a trip to Italy later this year, and wanted something that would give me the basics to get around - this booklet will do that. Not a lot of frills, you may need to get a basic CD if you have difficulty sounding out words from the phonetics (although this book does a good job of explaining them). If you jump in and just read, you will likely retain very little, but if you pick it up and just try to learn a few then put it down, with repetition, you will be able to do ok. Also, with the booklet being so handy to carry, you can also refer to it quickly in whatever situation you find yourself in, as it is easily indexed for reference. I am happy to have purchased this book!

Convenient and Quick Reference!
I bought this guide because I will be taking an Italian vacation in April’24. Although nothing beats hearing the language first hand, this guide is a very convenient reference for basic Italian conversation. The book is organized well and includes phonetic pronunciation. I would recommend for someone who does not rely on a smart Phone for everything and anything.
