With two very active Golden Retrievers this sink is just what we needed
We bought the 50" version with right-hand ramp and two drawers. First things first: It's heavy. It is definitely a two-man job. It was delivered to us by Amazon and I had them load it into the back of my pickup so I could move it to where it was to be installed, which is an outbuilding on our property which also houses our laundry facilities and another full bathroom with tub and shower. Our old utility sink was removed and we put this unit in its place. The way this unit is packaged is very functional. The base sits inside the tub which all resides in a large box. The box itself comes apart so you don't have to lift the whole thing out, which would be impossible. Fortunately the unit is mostly assembled. This is because the frame and tube are welded construction - not bolted together. So the frame comes out first, then the tub. All the other pieces and parts are wrapped in all sorts of protective materials. A fair portion of the price of this unit has to be in the packaging but it is worth every dime spent. There was no damage whatsoever to any of the parts. Speaking of which . . . There are parts that don't have any mention in the instructions and it's up to you to figure out their purpose. This isn't difficult though as they are plumbing related parts and fairly easy to see where they would go. For instance, they give you two completely different draining methods to choose from. This was handy in my case as I had to add a new drain to my existing system due to the height of the basin vs the height of my old utility sink's p-trap. Bear that in mind if you are installing this in an existing situation. In the package you get a standard p-trap with a cleanout (which is nice to have - most p-trap kits don't have this feature), as well as one with a completely different design where there is a clear polycarbonate cap on the bottom which lets you see if it's getting clogged. You'll have to get doen under the unit though to see this but that's not too difficult. This trap has a flexible hose that attaches to your drainage system. This is where your creativity comes into play. Don't worry - you'll get it sorted! If you need longer supply lines, here they are: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08QV5RV83/ The stainless steel is thick. No flex here. It comes covered in this plastic protective film. Have fun getting this off. It will either peel off in one big piece or break into a million tiny little fragments that come off one-by-one, or a combination of both. Kids love doing this so if you have some - get them involved. The drawers are rock-solid as is the ramp. The entire unit is solid and won't wobble or move around while you are wrestling yuour 160 pound Mastiff up the ramp. You get a nice apron to wear while you wash your beasts. It will keep you dry. You also get this cool little pad that has suction cups on it so you can stick it to the sife wall in the tub and put peanut butter on it to give your dog something to do while you wash him. It will keep him focused (distracted?) enough so you can get him clean. In my case, two Golden Retrievers who love muddy water to roll in love their baths anyway so we probably won't need that little technique. All in all we really like this sink. It is a great dog-washing station that doubles as a great utility sink it's totally worth the money. ---UPDATED--- We gave both our Goldens a bath today and the only problem we found with this unit is that water gets down the hole where the sprayer line comes out. That results in water on the floor behind the tub. Not a lot, but some, nevertheless. I realize that is purely operator-error but something to be aware of. Honey in the bathtub and Ace right after he got out.

Great investment!
We have 4 dogs, weighing from 50-120 pounds each. We previously purchased the elevated plastic dog baths found here on Amazon. The plastic alternative worked ok, but the dogs did not feel safe because it would wobble as they climbed into the tub or moved around in the tub, and while it had a leash restraint, it didn't prevent them from trying to turn around in the tub. This scared them & caused them to jump out with the leash still attached and the tub dragging behind them as they ran, trying to get away from it. We ended up just not using the leash restraint at all. They slowly got used to it more or less. The last time we used it, the base of the tub broke because while we were bathing one dog, another dog tried to jump into the tub with him. This caused the base to snap open where the leg locks into the tub. I'm sure it was due to the weight of the dogs. However, I didn't want to deal with it again. I appreciated the elevation while bathing the dogs, but it still wasn't a perfect system. I always had to bathe them outside, place my tub close to the hose, yet close enough where the drain hose would run into an acceptable location. Furthermore, medication I take makes me sensitive to the sun, so it was just an unpleasant experience all the way around. While searching for a new tub, I found this Kanis Bathing Station! I thought it was the perfect solution. I discussed it with my husband and we decided to make the investment. We installed in in the garage, conveniently located for both of us to use. The stainless steel material was perfect so we didn't have to worry about it rusting or loses it's durability in the heat (which is important as I live in the Southwest desert climate in the US), or having to go outside to bath the dogs. The ramp (versus the steps on the plastic tubs) is beneficial for my older dogs whose hips are starting to cause some discomfort. It has ample storage for everything I need to bathe my dogs conveniently available in the drawer below the tub. Unlike the plastic tub where I had to hand carry whatever I needed out & make multiple trips doing so. My husband hooked up the water lines to the sink, so they have softened water at a desired temperature to bathe in, again, totally opposite of the hose water they had endured previously, the water temperature depended on the weather - again, not great in the summer months or "winter" months. This is truly a perfect set up! However, the most important tool offered by KANIS was their customer service. Absolutely exceptional! Where my husband and I decided to install the tub happened to be between the water softener and the garage deep freezer. Unfortunately, that is also the spot where my husband put our house water filter. We managed to fit the the back splash of the tub between the water filter housing and the water filter itself, but it hit the rod part of the leash restraint. I contacted them to request additional end pieces for the rod (as we'd have to cut it, place end pieces in the holes closest to the water filter so the rod wouldn't slide out the open end) to allow for the filter to remain in place. (We didn't want to move that, and we had no other place to put the tub.) Over multiple emails exchanges, Alex from Kanis Grooming, contacted the manufacturer and had them send me exactly what I needed within a matter of days! That kind of customer service is so incredibly uncommon these days. I love everything about the company so far. I'm so impressed with the product's quality, design, & the engineering efficiency, and the customer service! Highly recommended!

Overall great product that could use some improvement
I have purchased two of these dog wash stations. Excellent quality overall and easy to assemble. Some aspects of the assembly may require two people due to its weight. The only part I think is a bit substandard is the plumbing which is flimsy and functionally questionable. There is a clean out trap in the plumbing line that can cause a hydro lock that prevents the water to drain effectively (this is per a professional plumber I hired to replace the plumbing line with better quality parts). This doesn’t take away from the overall quality of the dog wash station which is good. Functionally, it works great. Our two labs do well being washed. Plenty of room and well organized. Sprayer hose has plenty of length. The soap dispenser is not great and I don’t use it. The ramp works well but is a bit steep. I could see older dogs having a hard time and slipping while on it. Overall, I think it’s a great product.
