Good Quality Spoon
I have only used it a few times so its longevity is unknown. I hand wash it and use wood cutting board oil on it. It does its job. It seems to be of good quality and has not splintered.

Requires a bit of maintenance to keep it from splitting/drying out
I've been looking for wooden utensils to use with my nonstick pans. I've tried several brands on Amazon and decided to give this one a try. After cooking with this wooden spoon for a month, here are some things I've noticed: - The coating of the wooden spoon did not last long. The wood started showing signs of splitting and splintering after about 3 uses. The split is near the edge of the spoon but still usable. Also worth noting that I hand-wash all wooden utensils and let them air dry. I also oil this spoon quite frequently since it tends to dry out very quickly. I've had other cheaper wooden utensils from various retailers from over the year that is still holding shape/has no splinters compared to this one. Oiling this spoon frequently definitely helps the shine come back & prevent more damage. In summary: this is a decent wooden spoon but requires a bit of maintenance & oiling to keep the wood from splitting. Overall, I still like it just fine for cooking.

So Far, So Good.
The wood is nice and the spoons are sturdy. My ONLY issue is they're very shallow, so you're not going to use these to ladle /serve anything quickly. The teak holds up to water / steam very well (that's why them made ships in the 17th and 18th century from Teak). Decent value.

Big and beautiful
Replacing cheap metal, plastic and teflon cookware. These are quite large and thick, but great for mixing large volumes of food plus versatile and pretty enough to use for serving. sit well in the hand and soft. I oiled them generously a few times with food grade mineral oil, hand wash and dry off leave out to air dry completely. Not for flipping eggs or burgers but use silicone flippers for that. Its actually more enjoyable using these hefty wooden utensils. I have not experienced any of the negative others reported but it is best to treat wooden cookware with tlc.

I make tomato sauce from scratch a lot in our home and I have these fantastic "Paris Pro Hard Anodized Healthy Ceramic Nonstick" pots and pans from GreenPan, free from PFOAs and PPFEs and other nasties, that you cannot use metal in. You need silicone or wood and for sauce nothing beats a good wooden spoon. I've bought a few over the years and they just don't seem particularly resilient, they start having tiny bits that can cause splinters flake out and/or off. I bought this spoon back in May of 2024 and it has seen good use, and it is sturdy and reliable! What a treat to finally have a spoon that will rock a sauce and keep on ticking. Some common sense tips here - don't leave your spoon in water, don't soak it before you clean it, get it clean once you're done using it and let it air dry. Wooden spoons and cutting boards absolutely never go in the dishwasher, nor do steak knives and/or sharp chef's knives. Follow the very easy maintenance tips and you'll be good to go. Highly recommended, easy 5-stars, the best wooden spoon you'll buy.
