the female socket on the fitting is far to large to accept the 1.5 inch sched 40 PVC. Didn't realize it was no good until all the other PVC connections were made. Caused a lot of trouble as the pipe needed to be cut again and new fittings installed. Had to find the original Hayward SP1500UNPAK2 at a pool supply and start all over again. Wasted hours in plumbing and shopping for fittings and the Hayward SP1500UNPAK2. Should have purchased genuine Hayward instead of this junk. Also wasted lots of $$. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this garbage.

Used for connections on an off brand Hayward pump. Connections are the right size for 2 inch pvc, but the threaded parts do not tighten well, threads slip. If tightened carefully can get a leak free connection, but takes some finesse.

Amazon should remove this product from their website, I should have read the reviews before purchasing however I’m thinking how can it not work? Well , it doesn’tIt is to large for 1-1/2” pvc pipeDo not buy this , you will waste your time

I, like everyone else writing reviews, failed to read they reviews before buying. I bought fittings for 1.5" pvc. They slide on and fall right off. They need to fit tightly for glue to bond. I cleaned both sides, glued, and let them sit for 15 minutes. Then I pulled the fitting right off. That said, here is how you can make them work.I went to my local Home Store and grabbed a tube of JB Marine Weld. It's like 5200 only stronger. I sanded both surfaces to scuff them up, and mixed the marine weld. It worked well. I don't know if it'd hold up under 200 psi, but seems to be plenty solid for pool pump pressure.

The fittings fit too loose on PVC therefore they leaked.

All 4 of the socket leaking, I glued in Sheduled 40 PVC to the socket the PVC went in very loose I should of stop right there. I than purchased the hayward sockets and it works 100% dont waste youre money or time on this product!!

Quality is verry good but the socket tooths does not fit on 1.5inch intex hosehad to return it
