A classic done right
The classic Virginia peanut with just the right amount of salt, not oily or greasy. The texture/bite is crisp, just the way I personally like it, reflecting freshness and good packing.

Second to none
The quality of the peanuts are excellent, also come in a heavy duty tin. They taste very fresh with just the right amount of salt. Very good value for the money.

These BIG crunchy peanuts are always a treat. Originally found them when we first traveled to the south ( of Northeastern Ohio). What a treat. Then we found this brand on Amazon and they have become a staple in our house and a favored gift for “the person who has everything”!

Great Unsalted Peanuts—But Beware!
I subscribed to VD peanuts for over a year. Every tin held fresh, delicious peanuts. Then, the last several months , upon opening the peanuts smelled ‘off’, and within a day after opening tasted rancid, give me stomach aches, and I had to return them. I switched to another brand and am buying them direct. I also believe the tins are not stored properly at Amazon hubs, are left on hot delivery trucks all day, which isn’t healthy for food products. Be aware you can return these if you find them rancid!

Good taste
Good tasting but not as large as would be expected for Virginia peanuts. Good value however.

Did NOT meet expectations
For years, I purchased tins of Virginia Diner peanuts as gifts for friends and clients. I was impressed with the quality of the nuts, as they were mostly whole nuts with very few halves and pieces, This was my expectation as I ordered the snack bags. My assumption was that this would also be the case, but the first bag I opened was mostly halves and pieces, with very few, if any, whole peanuts. To be fair, I reread the description, and there was no promise that it would be all whole nuts, but due to my past experience I assumed they would be. I’m unsure I’d this has ‘trickled down’ to the tins as well, and I’m unlikely to order a tin just to find out. So, I was disappointed in this order due to unmet expectations. If whole nuts are not an issue for you, you might be happy with this product.
