Good choice for COB light. I prefer COB when I'm not using aluminum channel for tight spaces. This COB is dense enough to yield a pretty uniform light as long as you're not looking straight at it. Color is warm white and seems about right although I don't have a specrometer. Good value for 24V COB strip with brand name adhesive.

I used this to replace the light in my 3d printer and it works great. The adhesive backing holds up well to heat as my printer usually runs at about 55C inside the enclosure, and they haven't peeled off. They do consume a fair amount of power, but that's what makes them so bright.

I ordered the “COB LED Strip Light, DC24V 3000K High Density Uniform Light 480LEDsM Super Bright CRI90 16.4ft Tape Dotless Cuttable Flexible for Cabinet Home Indoor DIY Lighting (No Power or Controller)” to review and to add some lighting over some new garage shelves I recently installed. I love how this strip solved my problem. This corner of my garage has limited lighting, especially when the garage door is up. I decided to use the garage rail/channel to simply stick an LED strip to almost the entire length of the railing/channeling. I also love how easy it was to add a low voltage extension wire by simply re-soldering the supplied standard barrel connector (5.5x2.5mm ) to a longer wire piece. I love that it powered easily with a basic 24V Power Supply Adapter with 5.5x2.5mm for LED Light. Please see my attached pic of the final product. I've been hoping to see this type of strip lighting hit the market for a while now. Just as the add shows, it really makes a difference in the light dispersion. It is a nice even glow throughout the whole strip vs obvious individual LEDs. That said the only caveat is that it uses slightly more power, not enough to stop me from using it, but it is worth noting. The manufacturer used 3M for the backing which is a welcome surprise, in the past I've had issues with the backing tape failing after a short amount of time. We'll see if it holds up, but when I applied it it seemed to have a lot of grip. On the two ends one had a female barrel connector, but I'm not sure of the size, the other end had a red and black lead soldered on to hookup to your source. I used an LED remote controller that could turn it on and off as well as dim. The strip had no issues in the full dimming range. I am absolutely pleased with this strip and I think you will be too.

This COB strip light gives off a nice, even glow with no weird gaps or dots like you get from the old-style LED strips. It’s really flexible and cuts cleanly, which makes it great for customizing. I used it for some DIY lighting and it looks super sleek. Brightness is great — warm and soft but very effective — and the color is clean with no flicker. Just make sure you have a 24V power supply ready, because it doesn’t come with one and it can’t be plugged directly into a wall outlet. Once it's set up, though, it's low voltage and safe to use. Good for cabinets, shelves, or accent lighting where you want a more modern, continuous look. Definitely recommend if you're comfortable with a bit of DIY.

DON’T buy, a cheap overhyped product that doesn’t work. I noticed it was starting to fade in brightness, and now after 45 days it’s almost completely gone and it doesn’t live up to its claim of a continuous bright light, it’s now just a few intermittent sections that are faded and almost completely gone. It’s beyond the Amazon 30 day return window, so it’s just $ in the toilet purchase.

The reel of light has leads at both ends. So easy to cut into 2 pieces and both be pre-wired. I have not tried adding leads to a cut end. Prior experience with other waterproof LED strips has taught me to avoid it if possible. Don't see any reason this will be different. Speaking of a little different, the cross section of these LED is a little different than other waterproof LEDs I have used for the past decade. Not bad, just different. These are squared off on the clear part instead of radiused as I usually see. And for seeing. When I first powered these I they were very bright. At first I though I wired them to the wrong power supply. Turned them off and checked the power supply, 12V. I have the correct power supply, I didn't screw up and use my 24V. These lights are some of the most powerful LED strip lights I have used. Which isn't bad, you can always put a dimmer in and throttle the light back if it is too much. Side benifit is they will also last longer. If I have to find something that might be an issue for some people. The cut lines. They are old school spacing. I'm spoiled on the new stuff that can be cut in short incriments. These, 2" spacing. It's been years since I have seen anything over 1". I can work around it for that I am planning. But that might surprise some people. But for the light you get out of it, I'll take the light over cut line spacing. These are still a win.
