HIC Kitchen Granny Fork, Japanese Stainless Steel and Walnut Handle

Had one from many years ago, a “cheapie” and maybe even a “freebie,” which was getting “tired” on the handle. We used it all the time. Didn’t know it was called a “Granny Fork”, but that’s exactly what our old one is. This is a perfect replacement. We love it! We may order another one so we always have a clean one available.

Nice finish of the metal, good shape, good size, tines are sharp, and the wood handle is tight to the shank. All in all very nice.

This folk reminds me of one my late mother had. This is so much like hers. Great Quality materials.

This one replaces a granny fork given to me by my mother in law. 52 years ago!!! LOve the size.

I really like this small fork. I bought to replace one that had gotten lost. The times are small and sharp, allowing easy pick up of food. I use it in cooking daily. It works well to pull out a strand or morsel of pasta or a piece of meat or vegetable for testing. It transfers items from broiler pan to plate. It pierces foods to test for doneness, etc. Quality appears good. I just hope it lasts as long as it’s elderly lost ancestor.

Finally I replaced my favorite cooking utensil. Love this, I use it all the time.

I have small hands with arthritis, and I tend to make smaller portions of meats, so my larger utensils didn’t work right. This fork was just the right size! Well made, good quality!

My grandmother and mother both had these Granny Forks and used them all of the time. Sadly, I never ended up with any of them, so I was very happy to finally find them on Amazon...what a handy tool to have in the kitchen. I use it all of the time. I think I'll get one for all of my family members this coming Christmas!
