The Ordinary 100% Plant-Derived Squalane, for Skin and Hair, Lightweight Hydration, and Moisture Barrier Support, 1 Fl Oz

This product is fantastic. Honestly, it's better than fantastic. Could it be, dare I say, a Holy Grail? I have sensitive, acne prone, oily/combination skin with rosacea and I have SUCH a hard time finding a traditional moisturizer that isn't too heavy and doesn't break me out, but is also hydrating enough to keep my skin from drying out and getting flaky. A few months ago I was really struggling with yet another bout of congestion and irritation and I decided to forget "moisturizer" all together and focus in on maximizing my hydration levels with toners/serums. Immediately my skin starting looking calmer and clearer, but I would still end up feeling slightly dry and tight by the end of the day and in the morning when I woke up. Enter The Ordinary Squalane Oil. This stuff is amazing. I started mixing a couple drops of squalane in with a small amount of my favorite toner (Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner) in my hands and gently pressing it into my skin it all over my face as the last step of my routine. Within like, 48 hours my tightness/dryness had completely disappeared. Seriously, I am not exaggerating. My skin felt so comfortable and just like, "normal". Not too oily or too dry or too suffocated, just healthy. Sometimes I'll pat an extra drop of the oil in around my more sensitive areas like my eyes and mouth if I want a little extra nourishment, but most of the time I don't feel like I even need it. The oil itself is really lightweight and not greasy feeling at all. Most oil type products sit on top of my skin and feel suffocating, but this one sinks right in. It feels almost like it's just a natural a part of my skin that's supposed to be there. And really, that "my skin but better" feeling makes so much sense because squalane is just a more stable, (and in this case) plant derived version of squalene (with an E) which is a naturally occurring lipid found in our skin. Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with sensitive and/or acne prone combination skin who is looking for lightweight, non-greasy facial oil with a natural, skin-like feel.

This serum is slippery in the best way! It has no scent and it is ultra hydrating. My skin feels super moisturized and soft. Excellent product and superb price.

I’d give it 10/5 stars! This stuff is amazing!! Went from a winter ‘burn’ chapped botchy areas that were painful with all products to baby butt smooth in 3 applications. I’ve never found anything like this before. I have sensitive combination skin that chaps and drys horribly in the winter. Just a few drops is perfect it’s a light oil and it gives you a smooth and glowy complexion. No scent that I’ve notice.

What a great product! No skin sensitivity and I have assistive skin. It is a little greasy when first applied, but It absorbs nicely after about 20 minutes to a fine sheen. It really helps my skin hold moisture with the cold outdoors and has heat indoors.

Hydrates your skin, traps in other serums (peptides. matrixyl, retinol). WILL MAKE YOUR FACE SHINY I mix mine with a niacinamide, obvs more niacinamide. I dab it on the tops of my cheeks/cheekbones for intense glow ~ if I apply before I go out ~ lasts all night.

This squalane is much better than The Ordinary’s hyaluronic acid. After using a whole bottle of the hyaluronic acid, the dry patches on my face remained. The squalane got rid of my dry patches within two weeks. Note, it is oily so I wouldn’t recommend for acne prone skin, and it takes a while to absorb

I use almost exclusively The Ordinary skincare items, and this has been one of my staples since I started using them years ago. It doesn't have a super strong scent, and it does wonders for my sensitive skin. I have extremely dry skin as well and this really helps out with retaining moisture.

Effective Retinol with Sqis a perfect union of retinol that can dry out skin but squalane is one of the best hydrating oils for skin add them together and your fighting signs of aging and keeping skin hydrated with 2 really effective ingredients. love it!!!!

Great item. If your skin barrier is ruined from using 7392 different products from brands who are actually not trying to fix your skin, use this. It’s very gentle and natural. Good price too.

A must go product.. Very light which penetrates through skin very fast..observed skin smooth and more hydrated and supple..

Me ha sorprendido para bien, solo me lo he aplicado una vez y ya noto la hidratacion, no es nada graso y te deja el cutis como la seda, tengo que decir que previamente me había exfoliado. Repetiré sin duda.
