With 100% UV stability and high chemical resistance, it protects metal and painted surfaces indoors or outdoors. Each 15 oz can covers 35 sq ft, making it ideal for automotive, industrial, and DIY projects requiring a durable, chip-resistant finish. ## Description DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is the spray can version of the KBS clear coat line, made in Valparaiso, Indiana, for parts too small to set up a spray gun for: calipers, brackets, trim, wheels and fishing lures. Clean the part with KBS Klean and scuff glossy or contaminated areas with 320 grit. Spray 1 to 2 thin coats for general automotive work, or 2 to 3 for marine and industrial parts. When you finish, turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to clear the tip. ## Features - 5H HARD CLEAR IN A CAN: DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol is a fast drying acrylic modified alkyd clear coat. It reaches 5H pencil hardness (ASTM D 3363) after 5 days and stays flexible, so it does not crack on parts that flex or vibrate. No mixing, no hardener, no spray gun. - SPRAYS DIRECT TO METAL: No primer needed on steel or aluminum. It also goes over fully cured paint, basecoats, gelcoat and rusted metal you want to keep as a patina. Over another aerosol paint, wait at least 3 days and scuff test a small spot first. - RATED TO 250°F: No yellowing up to 250°F on brake calipers, valve covers and engine brackets, and UV stable outdoors. Once cured it resists most solvents and oils. Not for brake rotors or constant fuel contact. - UP TO 35 SQ FT PER CAN: Each can covers up to 35 sq ft per 1 mil coat. Dust free in 3 to 6 minutes, dry to handle in 20 to 40 minutes, full cure within 48 hours. Recoat within 15 minutes of dry to touch, or wait 48 hours. - SATIN, 45 to 55% GLOSS: Also sold in High Gloss (90 to 95% gloss). Spray at 50 to 85°F and 70% humidity or lower. Shake one minute after the ball rattles, hold the can 8 to 12 inches away and lay down thin coats. For big panels use liquid DiamondFinish Clear: one liquid coat equals about six aerosol coats. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B06XR7LYCG | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #10,704 in Automotive ( See Top 100 in Automotive ) #8 in Automotive Clear Coats | | Brand | KBS Coatings | | Brand Name | KBS Coatings | | Color | Clear Satin | | Color Code | Clear | | Container Type | aerosol can | | Coverage | 35 sq ft (Single Coat) | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 228 Reviews | | Finish Type | Satin | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00818032015479 | | Included Components | Aerosol Can | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Is Waterproof | True | | Item Form | Spray | | Item Type Name | Diamond Finish Clear Aerosol Satin | | Item Volume | 15 fluid ounces | | Item Weight | 16 ounces | | Manufacturer | KBS Coatings | | Model Name | DiamondFinish Clear Aerosol | | Model Number | 8124 | | Paint Type | Spray | | Part Number | 8124 | | Size | 16 Fl Oz (Pack of 1) | | Special Feature | Chip Resistant, Crack Resistant, Fade Resistant, Rust Resistant, Scratch Resistant, Stain Resistant | | Special Features | Chip Resistant, Crack Resistant, Fade Resistant, Rust Resistant, Scratch Resistant, Stain Resistant | | Specific Uses For Product | Interior/Exterior | | Surface Recommendation | Metal | | UPC | 818032015479 | | Unit Count | 16 Fluid Ounces | | Water Resistance Level | Waterproof | ## Product Details - **Brand:** KBS Coatings - **Color:** Clear Satin - **Finish Type:** Satin - **Item Volume:** 15 fluid ounces - **Paint Type:** Spray - **Size:** 15 Ounce (Pack of 1) - **Special Feature:** Chip Resistant, Crack Resistant, Fade Resistant, Rust Resistant, Scratch Resistant, Stain Resistant - **Specific Uses For Product:** Interior/Exterior - **Surface Recommendation:** Metal - **Unit Count:** 15 Ounce ## Images ![DiamondFinish Clear Coat Spray, Satin, Net Wt. 16 oz - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61oeJPd4MyL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - KBS Coatings 8124 Clear Satin Diamond Finish Aerosol, Covers 35 sq ft, 15 Ounce (Pack of 1) - KBS Coatings 2200 KBS Klean - 8 Fl. oz. - Water Based Cleaner and Degreaser, Clear Liquid - KBS Coatings DiamondFinish Clear Coat --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.nz/products/47396987-diamondfinish-clear-coat-spray-satin-net-wt-16-oz](https://www.desertcart.nz/products/47396987-diamondfinish-clear-coat-spray-satin-net-wt-16-oz) --- *Product available on Desertcart New Zealand* *Store origin: NZ* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
