Q: Are the end caps also made of 304 stainless steel?

I don’t know if they’re the same metal for certain but appear to be. I still can say that I love this shower rod. Very sturdy and looks great!

Q: Is the rubber end plate removable so that cafe curtain hooks/clips can be put in rod?

That I do not know. My shower curtain clips are gold open ended in S kind of shape

Q: I like to mount with screw, could I sneak a hole and drill through these endcaps? Don't like tension only and none sell mounted brushed gold rods!

Yes! you could make that work. these rods are very nice and sturdy

Mine didn’t come with rings, I ordered them separately. I ordered matte black, I don’t know if they come in gold.

Not fit for purpose

Have had this item for just over a year it is completely rusted despite being described as ‘NEVER’ rustsContacted the company about 3 months ago 3 messages no reply Contacted Amazon who messaged them directly They refused to consider return or refund The reason ? Outwith the return window!Pardon me but it is described as NEVER rust so how can there be a time limit ? Complete waste of moneyRubbish customer service Explained the shower curtain was sticking on the rust making it unsafe for my husband with Parkinsons disease couldn’t care less Things are expensive enough for those of us on a pension without having to buy things twiceDisgusted!
