It worked well for what I needed. It fit a great, maybe just a hair loose but I put a slight bend on it to keep it from moving at all. Brightness is what was expected, and it’s nice to have some color options available. I have a lifetime supply of fiber now considering I used less than an inch of it lol.

For how much you get, it’s good enough. The red isn’t really a red, it’s like a neon red or light pink. The uncut and unmelted stick looks to be very bright. Maybe that’s because it’s long and lots of light getting into one long piece. But as when shortened to length and melted the ends, the brightness seems to diminish. I’ll have to try it on a bright sunny day.

These optic rods do the job. They look good and transmit light as they should. They are very brittle. They break very easily, and if you polish them too hard they just crumble into pieces.

MECCANIXITY Fiber Optic Rods PMMA 1.5mmx20cm for Sight Filament Red, Green, Orange 1 Set Pack of 5, ~$8.49 I needed about 16mm of the red 1.5mm fiber to replace the missing one in my Hatsan Mod95 Vortex QE air rifle front sight. The factory fiber fell out during a shooting session and could not be found. This set of 5 long color assorted fibers arrived promptly. Green is by far the brightest light guide. Red next with the orange being slightly less efficient. I cut a 18mm piece from the red fiber for my front sight. Rear sight already had 2 green installed and the lost original front factory fiber was red. Installed into front sight with some overhang. Used a butane lighter to carefully heat/mushroom/lens one end. When cool pushed the mushroom flush with the holder. Cut/trimmed the remaining end to within 1mm using a small stout wire cutter (mini flush cut diagonal cutters). Lighter heat treated the remaining end to get that small mushroom/lens flare which effectively locked the fiber in-place. Looks as good or better than the factory fiber!! Plus I now have a LIFETIME supply of replacement fibers for anything needing the 1.5mm size. Price was acceptably low compared to some other suppliers yet these worked great for me. 5 star rating here :-)

Exactly as described , fixed the front sight of a “ SX4” very easily . Passed it through the hole , clipped it with nail clipper and heated both ends with a lighter . Done

Same as original, great price and you get five of them red orange and one green. I found the best way to install was cut them with a little overhang on each side of the site then heat up a very thin utility blade hot enough and simply cut off the ends to fit and seal them in with the heat

Red and Orange rods are pretty bright, but the Green one is a bit dull. Overall, for the price, fair for airsoft / NERF use.
