Terrasoul Superfoods Organic Brown Flax Seeds, 2 Pound

Excellent quality always fresh. Worth the price to not get bitter old seeds.

This flax seed is very good in oatmeal, baking, sprouting, everything.

I've been buying the "golden" colored variety of these of another brand for years. This time around they were out of them so I decided to try the brown variety from Terrasoul. Besides the good price and the fact that they come in a two-pack that gives you four pounds, I also bought these from Terrasoul because for a number of years I've been buying the Terrasoul pumpkin seeds and have been very happy with this brand. (Just looked it up, this is the 13th time a buy a Terrasoul product, so that tells you how happy I am with the brand). These brown flax seeds are very clean, no twigs, pebbles, rocks or anything else, have no smell and, quite frankly, no taste. They're pretty neutral tasting unless, I suppose, you put a huge tablespoon of them straight into your mouth and chew them up. I use them every morning along with a bunch of other things, like chia, oats, pumpkin seeds, protein powder, various nuts and fruits, etc., to make my own heart-healthy, and digestion-healthy breakfast. I've read that the brown variety of flax seeds have slightly more Omega-3s that are good for your heart, blood, and brain health compared to the golden ones. The golden ones I believe have a tad more antioxidants so it's pretty much a tradeoff. And the golden ones give you zero net carbs vs the 2 net grams of carbs you get from these. So that's something else to consider if you're counting carbs. Otherwise I'll keep buying either these Terrasoul organic flax seeds or the other Premium Gold brand golden flax seeds, whichever ones are cheaper.

Great source of omega 3 and fiber. I soak in 1/2 cup water with a couple of prunes to soften the seeds a few times per week and chew the seeds. Keeps you regular.
