The Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath

In 1905 Yogi Ramacharaka visited the United States of America, and during his stay he spent almost a week with the Elders of the Asaga Medicine Society. During that time both he and they compared the breath-work done by both the Asaga and the Yogis, and when it was over then our Elders adopted all that they had learned from him except for two things that are purely cultural from a Cherokee perspective. I have studied this book, and it is the same as what we do almost exactly. Simply put, this book will work wonders in your life if you will simply follow the instructions and do the work. Physical, mental/emotional, psychic and spiritual health and power are simply a few breaths per day away.

how come the book in english and the audio in russian.but the book is great .I recommend learning about breathing for every one .

"Breath is life..." and has an esoteric meaning (Air) as well as an esoteric meaning (prana). Control of the breath leads to control of body and mind with Prana. Rhythmic Breath plus Will can lead to the healing of the whole body or part thereof; and to healing others. The author promises 'concise" instructions and exercises towards breathing correctly. He succeeds in doing so and provides several exercises for cultivating breath as pertains to physical, mental and spiritual development. Behind it all are principles of correct breathing; everything vibrates; and you can heal yourself and others with correct breathing.

A great deal of work went into this book. Wealth of information. A lot of research involved. A deal at twice the price.

I don't give this book 5 stars because the entirety of its content is 5 stars...I did so because about half of it is. There is some of this book that you can skip through and not re-read. Some of it is just downright INCREDIBLE knowledge, so pick this up. It's not much and you will learn at least a handful of valuable lessons on the breath. The efficiency and function of your breathing is More important than you know, even if you know slightly.... It is your connection to divine Breath and Life.

I really enjoyed this book because it made it so simple to understand the breathing techniques in the full breath of the yogi. I have been studying breathing and yoga for some time and I really think that this book could help many of those struggling with the pranas

William Walker Atkinson is a god. I read his books and the question i have is " how could this man know so much ???he must have had help.anyway all his books are of a genius creation and should be read by anyone who desires to know the truth about the Divine god bless the author

I loved the beginning of this book as it explained the science of how breathing works, and why breathing differently really affects your whole being (not just believe it because I said so, but how oxygen affects your cells, and how to make it most effective at getting to them). However, I did find it offensive how the author kept referring to mouth breathers as "disgusting" since I was a mouth breather most of my life due to not having sinus cavities (I had to have them opened through surgery, it was impossible for me to get enough oxygen by breathing through my nose!). While it inspired me to continue breathing through my nose, it also forced me to put the book down before finishing it since I was so offended about his strong view against mouth breathers. He could have said it so much nicer, and should be a little more understanding since breathing through your mouth isn't as much of a "sin" as he makes it out to be!

Such a simple exercise which many might find ineffective and less powerful. Practise it with utmost faith and you will experience the immense benefits it possesses.
