Air Quality Monitor pm2.5 pm10 pm1.0 Detector Indoor air Quality Test kit for Cars ,Home,Office,Hotel etc (PM2.5,AQI)

It reads particle count and it does it well. The exterior readings align with my weather forecast and I see near immediate changes when I start generating dust. I think it does use an averaging function over time. I have seen a few odd spikes, but otherwise I have come to trust its accuracy. That's it. It's very small very easy to plug and go. I put magnets on the back to attach to my breaker panel in my shop. This does not try to be very complicated, so find other products at a higher price point if you want customization, bluetooth or data recording.

At first this unit performed as expected. It was easy to set-up, easy to read and seemed accurate. Yesterday it suddenly began indicating a reading of 3,569ppm for air quality, which would basically mean I was choking on toxic air. Except I wasn't. So I did a power-off cycle and it came back reading 0ppm. Blowing smoke at it does not change the reading. Another power-off cycle does not restore the AQI monitor. I know of no way to reset or recalibrate the AQI sensor, so that means that the unit is non-functional for me.

This is way beyond my expectations. With this price, this product provides a colored back-lit LED screen, with temperature, humidity, and all kinds of PM numbers and particle counts!! The only downside I can think of is no battery. You have to use your own power bank to make it portable. But I guess asking the seller to provide a rechargeable battery at this price is no different from robbery...

The features (pm 1.0, 2.5 and 10) for the price is great. I like the minimalist design. And the screen is very bright and readable. I' ld love to be able to change the screen layout to show what I care about bigger and the other stuff smaller (or not at all), but the default design works at least. For the first couple days, it worked exactly as expected. But since, the monitor will have spells where the PPM readouts are all zero. Now, I am not a slob, and I have fresh (cheap) filters in my air intakes, but my house is not a semi-conductor clean room! My guess is that the detectors are not very robust or sample too little air to be always accurate at the lowest concentrations. Normally is does seem to work, although the ppm numbers are normally all single digits (under 10). I wish it had the option for battery operation. The short micro-usb cord makes for limited placement options. And speaking of micro-usb, there definitely needs to be some supports for that one area. Minimalist is fine. But the port is soldered onto the board with absolutely no external support. The slightest tension or accidental tweaking seems likely to rip the whole port right off the PCB! But all in all, so far so good. I will update down the road if the durability isn't there.

Plugged it in and only the temperature and humidity works. PM2 shows 0 and never changes. Two weeks later it started working, but I can’t tell if it’s accurate in its readings.

This is an awesome device, it is fast-reactive, I've seen people talking about the 0s, yes when starting up it is 0 for a while, and sometimes during use, but that seems correct, if you click the black button 3 times, you can see more readings, and it is not all 0s, some are, but some are not, that is correct, it is so good that it knows its environment if you start spraying or in my case burning, it will all go up.

(Update #2). I got the new meter and it is not much better, I took photos driving around different places and it's still pretty much 0. Sure, it works if you get it near smoke but I've yet to have the outside air get past 1 at anytime. What's up Domino's (Update#1); I exchanged it for another, raised stars from 1 to 4, it too reads all zeros in my house but if I take it outside this one goes up a little. Maybe I just have really clean air around here (Woodland, Wa) , I'm running 2 Winix 5500-2, a Honeywell and on other off brand air purifiers. Still more testing to come when I get on the road. I will update review again . I heard good things about this but my first one didn't function. (Original Monitor ) Previous review; $45 Thermometer, no way my air is that clean. At first the reading went higher and higher, then come down lower and lower until NOTHING! I've been trying different power supplies, the first 2 were apple brand so I don't think it's the power. I also tried waiting 30 min and power on again but it doesn't work

Cool little device. Works as advertised

Very nice little toy to measure your indoor air quality. I have nothing to compare with, but the numbers look pretty accurate to me.

Unit displayed low numbers in the 4 to 1 range for PM2.5 so I immediately knew something was off... Let the unit 'settle' for about 10 minutes...then particulate readings were 0...also noticed the fan stopped working and smelled burned. I immediately ordered another unit and started the return process on this one...will update review when I receive new unit. As other reviewers have also had bad luck, these seem fragile. We'll see, but off to a not so good start!

I have a professional quality AQ monitor and this one compares very well in terms of the accuracy of the PM2.5 reading. The response time is good. Very cool to see the number of particles in each size range. With no internal battery, moving the unit from room-to-room is not convenient. The open framework case, while cool to look at, means you need to blow the dust off regularly.

Air quality ratings in my area spiked yesterday but unit continues to display zero particulate. I dripped a pinch of baby powder near the unit but the '0' readings don't change. This may be a 1-off bad unit so I'll re-order and update review later.
