Q: Is this product clear in colour?

It " kicks off " white then goes opaque, I didn't buy it for the reason its made, it was for anti freeze preventive for my freezer, it works perfectly for that, haven't had to de-ice it for ages now.

No I don’t think it would be suitable as consistency is a bit too thick/viscous
