Potato Chipper, Professional Chip Cutter, Plastic and Stainless Steel, 23.5 x 1.5 x 12 cm, White

Good looking, well made, sturdy construction, easy and secure blade changing, both blades are really sharp and cut perfect size fries and chips. Easy to dismantle and clean, strong suction grip on worktop that really sticks. Functions perfectly and easily to cut chips of just the right thickness. Yes, you may have to cut down large potatoes to fit, but they will be the perfect length and thickness. Pretty remarkable considering the price.

For a cheaper chip maker this isn't too bad. It's easy to use, easy to clean, decent quality and the blades are sharp enough to cut through normal potato's. We have found that it doesn't seem to cut through sweet Potato without having to do an upper body workout to push the tato through. The suction cup was a good add to this item but it doesn't really work that well and it sort of slips along the work top.

The grid comes out of the holder, it tells you which side is the cutting side. Well made, sturdy, blade was very sharp it cut the potato without any problems quick and easy to use. Easy to clean. Stuck to my wooden counter top fine. Brilliant price it was on offer.

Not a terrible chipper, but not a good one. The suction cup lost any adhesive power after two or three uses. Not suitable for any medium to large sized potato's, the receptacle is very small. Could do to be 30% wider and deeper, and quite a bit longer. The chips it cuts are rather short. If you don't have a great deal of strength I would not recommend this product for you. I am quite big and heavy and sometimes have to put a considerable amount of force on the lever to get the potato through the cutter. Perhaps I should be part boiling them first, but I am too lazy for that. I will say that whilst it looks flimsy the lever arm is holding up against my weight being pushed down upon it. No signs of bending, or the plastic casing cracking.

This was so cheap that I wasn't expecting much. When it arrived I was so pleasantly surprised. Its a great little gadget for making chips. We are slimming world members and have syn free chips a lot using our actifry. This makes it so much easier and quicker than chopping by hand. We have found that it's also great at chopping onions for bolognaise, just top and tail, quarter then pop in this. It also comes with a grid of smaller squares which makes lovely carrot sticks. The grids just pop out by using a clip on the top (then slides out from the underside). The machine also comes with 2 different push plates which allow the vegetables to be pushed through. These also clip on and off simply. The machine also has a suction cup which is easy and effective. Overall this is easy to use and clean and makes a useful addition to your kitchen. We use it so muchtthat I can't understand why we never had one before.

I have literally ordered thousands of items from Amazon over the years and have only had a few issues with products, which were quickly resolved - I reckon I've only had to contact Amazon about a product 3 or 4 times over the last decade or so, and unfortunately I had to do so with this item. The item itself is fairly crude, it broke within seconds of using it. I placed a fairly small potato in this chipper and used it as instructed, but the hinge buckled under the strain and the entire thing bent out of shape. This is made of metal but the two protrusions at the front which hinge are so thin and flimsy that they broke. Even if they had lasted beyond the first potato, there's no way this item would have lasted beyond a couple of uses. The item is terrible despite the claims that it can chip sweet potatoes too, if it can't handle a fairly soft spud which was slightly past its best then there's no way this could handle a tough sweet potato. I contacted the seller straight away to report that the item was faulty and to say that i wanted a refund (I didn't want a replacement as this is not fit fur purpose) When I contacted the seller they asked for photographic proof of the fault. Unfortunately I didn't see this email straight away and when I eventually sent the photo it was 14 after the item arrived sand they refused to refund me. My understanding is that this goes against my consumer rights - I don't want a refund because I've changed my mind, I wanted a refund because the item is poor quality and did not 'last a reasonable amount of time'. Amazon became involved in the dispute and still the seller refused to refund. A terrible experience. In a nutshell: Absolutely not fit for purpose. I really don't like it when products are sold with the knowledge that they are sub-par. It's a waste of time and a terrible waste of resources. The customer services were awful and not acting within UK consumer law.

The blades on this are very good, and the device is easy to clean. One other nice little touch that I didn't know about when I ordered it is that it also has a suction cup on the bottom which allows the chipper to stay firmly on the worktop while chopping! It's pretty strong too, and has a special lever arm making it easy to tighten or loosen to the bench. Very well designed! The only minor niggle is that the chipper needs to be longer, as you have to cut most potatoes in half (length-wise aswell as width-wise) before putting them in the machine, which means that if you want long chips, you'll have some long chips and some short ones. However, I did manage to find a way around this which meant nice long chips every time.... Cut the potatoes DIAGONALLY rather than horizontally, and not on;y do they fit right, but the chips come out the perfect length each time without losing any of the length on either half of the cut. It took a bit of trial and error before figuring this out, so just thought I'd mention that, however it does totally work, and you get perfect chips every time, the way you'd expect them to be when done in this way! All in all, a very good chipper, and still well worth the 5 stars!

I bought this chopper to make french fries. I was really impressed with the quality. It comes with 2 sizes of blades for you to choose from. Its super easy to chop potatoes and it doesn't require any force. However, make sure to place the blade on the correct side, if not, the potato gets stuck in the blade. There is one side that is sharp and one side that isn't. You might not be able to place the whole potato on the device. I always have to cut it in half. However, that's not a huge issue. Overall, this is a good product and it makes my life easy in the kitchen. It's also easy to wash.

Buenísimo!! De oferta de primavera por no llega a 19€, no puedo creer que por fin haya encontrado el cortador de vegetales y patatas que estaba buscando. He probado varios tipos, entre ellos el tipo «once for all» y los ralladores con recipiente abajo y varios tipos de cuchillas... Los he ido devolviendo según les encontraba pegas. Me quedo con éste sin ningún género de duda, porque no le he encontrado ningún «pero». No es nada «mamotreto», es «cero» peligroso (tendría que empeñarte para cortarte con él), se desmonta y limpia genial, y corta las patatas y zanahorias sin ningún esfuerzo. Tiene dos tamaños de cuadrícula, el pequeño es de 10x10 mm perfecto para patatas en air fryer (de hecho me parece el límite máximo para que queden buenas, más gruesas pierden el crujiente mucho más rápido y se hacen peor por dentro), el otro es de 13x13 mm, perfecto para el calabacín cuando hago pisto, por ejemplo. También probé otro cortador similar de otra marca alemana, pero lo encontré menos manejable y con la cuchilla pequeña demasiado grande para patatas fritas. Éste es una maravilla, si te gusta hacer patatas te vas a ahorrar un montón de tiempo para cortarlas, y con muy poco esfuerzo (encuentro que apenas tengo que hacer fuerza con la palanca, menos que con los otros). Se limpia muchísimo mejor que el tipo once for all porque no se quedan trozos impactados en el propio aparato, no hace falta ni cepillo ni «peine» especial para ranuras, como traen los demás que he conocido. ¡¡Me encanta!!
