This was a risk purchase
I'd never heard about this until I was looking into decimating garden pests, so bought this blind really. I put it on the garden to try and get rid of flea beetle. This is diffcult to gauge really. I never saw the flea beetle to start with, but they were wiping out my radish and stuff under the mesh. I sprinkled all over the place, and the plants do appear to be picking up.....I tried it to drink. Put just over a teaspoon in small glass of water. Drunk it, I'm still here, but after only one or two applications, cant say I feel any different. I'm certainly not thinner! It doesn't taste of anything really, a bit like milk of magnesia would taste, not had that for years and years. If you are thinking of taking it for health or cholesterol, do a lot of research, but it doesn't taste nastyNow.....here is the good bit. My cat (semi feral) had a sore area where he had pulled fur out. My friend had the same thing on her domestic cat. She paid a vet for some stuff. A neigbour had a dog with same, pulling out fur etc and bald area. His vet suggested it was fox mite. Anyways, I got a handful of the earth and when I put food for kitty, I plastered the area with the chalky Diatomaceous Earth. Got most of it on the patch where he had made it sore then stroked as much as I could onto his body. Did this a couple of times, and it's working. The area is healing up. I have sprinkled it into the box where he and two other ferals sleep. Says it gets rid of mite, fleas etc. Don't really know if there was any there before, but there isn't now and I feel confident this will get rid of anything that comes. I did notice that there isn't any red spider mite in that area, where it had quite a lot before. This geared me into action and I cleaned out the chicken hut. Put in new bedding and sprinkled liberally with the Diatomaceous Earth

Great quality stuff at a good price
Starting taking diatomaceous earth with water first thing in the morning after reading a book on body cleanses. It is now part of my morning routine.I have noticed a strengthening of my nails and my skin and hair are less dry. I used to have to use loads of hand cream throughout the day but not so much now.I chose this brand because I already spend about £30 a month on various things to boost my immune system etc and did not see the point of spending more than was necessary. This brand is food grade and mixes perfectly with water. So far as I can tell, it works and is causing me no problems so I now buy it in 1kg tubs which still works out to be very cost effective and cheaper than other alternatives.

Trusted Source and Good quality products
The Diatomaceous Earth from this family run business is without exception the best source of DE I have yet to find. Not only is it good quality but it's packaged well in convenient containers (as opposed to getting it delivered loose in a plastic bag), therefore makes it easier for storage. I have used Diatomaceous Earth by drinking half a teaspoon mixed in juice, although it's tasteless and odourless, it gets rid of bloating and parasites in the body and works for pets getting rid of worms. I use this in the garden to stop slugs and on the edge of the doorways to prevent spiders. It works!

Used to kill Fungus Gnats
I'm not sure why everyone's eating this but I used it to kill fungus gnats on my plants! PH neutral and non toxic, the microscopic structure of it just slashes them up and kills them apparently. It's powdery enough to just put in a salt shaker and shake it over the soil. As advised, do not inhale it, that microscopic structure will slash your lungs up too. Gnats were visibly reduced after 1 application and all gone (I think) after 3. The tubs hold enough for 100s of applications.Good pesticide and apparently edible.

Good for ants
Put it down in between pavers for ants they have gone off the patio, reappeared further down the garden which is fine.

Natural, food-safe deterrant for an infestation but it's efficacy wasn't as good as hoped for
The main attraction of this being a food-grade item was its potential suitability in combatting an infestation of ants in the kitchen. It did act as a deterrant for a while but the industrious ants seemed to find aways around it. In terms of effectiveness on the ants itself, I would say around every 3 in 5 (the infestation caused many sleepless nights and I genuinely had nothing better to do than watch the critters in action) that passed through it seemed to die off but others moved on without much effort. Occasionally though, some that did move away with vigour eventually showcased signs of slowing down. The powder itself was on the grainy side making it a little difficult to sprinkle. Afterwards, it was difficult to remove without some elbow grease!Ultimately, we had to call in professional pest control which was used in conjuction with the diatomaceous earth in some places preventing me from reviewing the long term success of the powder as a stand-alone product.I hope I don't need to use it again for an infestation, but I would plan to see if the dietary qualities are of worth.

Great price!
From what I’ve seen online, this is a great price for such a big tub! It’s inevitable if you have houseplants that you will get those pesky black gnats at some point. I use a couple teaspoons and sprinkle it over the soil. After a couple days I rake it over lightly and sprinkle some more. The bugs are usually gone in a fortnight! The only solution I’ve found that is super effective and quick! Worth its weight in gold!
