Like the compact design with cable holder. I needed to order claw clips to hold roller in place, my hair is fine, soft and shiny and the rollers slide out with the pins provided. Hopefully the new clips will solve this problem. Also I wish there was a indicator to show when heated up.

In this very cute small package you get as much as ten rollers. The container looks more like a little beauty-case with an handle and a plastic see-through lid. That's what makes it ideal for traveling. But also at home they have their purpose, especially when you don't have much time or you need a quick touch-up between washings. The rollers need the usual 10-15 minutes to heat up, so you can find them ready after you have showered and blown your hair dry. Ten rollers are not enough to cover your whole head, but as I've said for touch-ups and hasty stylings they'll do fine. Also, if your hair is naturally curly or wavy like mine, you can apply the rollers just on the top of your head to the outer strands, as they will then blend seamlessly with the untreated ones, giving you extra volume, shine and frizz-free results anyway. The section of the rollers is quite wide, so don't buy them if you intend to obtain spiral and tight curls. They should suit medium to long hair both as well, but meant more to add body and shiny smoothness than perm-like curls. They're easy to put on, they don't get hot to the point of burning your fingertips and the pins that come with them are tight enough to provide a firm hold. They're a bit heavy, but not so much as to make your scalp ache and then you just need to keep them on for few minutes. All in all a purchase I don't regret. It's a very versatile kit of rollers to have as an extra one. The materials are sturdy and of good quality. The price is reasonable and the chic contrast of black and hot-pink is a glamorous boon !

I looked at the Cloud Nine system (over £100) and the Babyliss ( £27-£49 )options but I have a lot of thick hair and it is well past my shoulders. I knew that one set wouldn't be enough. My arms aren't long enough to get the hair around the rollers for a tight roll! I thought this would be a reasonable choice and if I needed a second set this would be the best idea as for another £18. I certainly didn't want to pay over £100 for something that might not give the effect I liked. They certainly curl your hair very effectively. I didn't need hairspray but probably a hair protection heat treatment as the dry ends did get very tangled but nothing a brush through with the fingers couldn't deal with. It took a lot less than 10 minutes to heat up and I didn't need to leave them in my hair for 10 minutes to get a curl but then I do have very heavy hair. I will need a another set as I had to reheat the rollers a second time to do the rest of my hair. Volume is not the issue I just wanted a bit more movement and wave. If you want to control the effect for a specific look then tongs might be your best bet. And I can see why some people might find it tricky but little bit of patience, time and product give lots of bouncy curls. Reading the instructions and probably watching a youtube video would help too.

Man bekommt Heizwickler für die Reise ja mittlerweile kaum noch, leider. Diese sind klasse, 10 Stück mit Metall-Klammern, reichen für meine schulterlangen Haare. Die Klammern halten die Wickler sehr gut, da rutscht nix. Ich habe sie in ein kleines Schmuck-Täschchen getan und für den Transport dieses dann auf die Wickler gelegt, passen mit rein. Die Lieferung hat etwas länger gedauert und das Päckchen ist kurz beim Zoll hängen geblieben, aber das macht nichts. Man darf allerdings den Adapter für die Steckdose nicht vergessen, denn der Stecker ist für die UK Steckdosen gemacht. Er hatte ein Rezensent geschrieben, wenn die Wickler zu lange drin bleiben, machen Sie knicke oder Ähnliches. Das ist totaler Quatsch. Ich hab sie jetzt mehrfach getestet, sie funktionieren ganz hervorragend und ich bin damit für die Reise wirklich absolut zufrieden. Update 2025: Bin immer noch Mega zufrieden, benutze sie mittlerweile auch zuhause und die Locken halten länger als mit dem teuren Lockenwickler von D…!

Rollers were big enough to make volume in curls, however the rollers are not easy to secure in place, I had to re-roll some rollers as they slipped out of the pins holding in place. The attachment for Australian use is dodgy - very loose connection.

Great item, but please note the plug is UK standard.

Finally enough rollers that get hot enough for my thick and wavy hair, but in a size suitable for travel! I use them at home and on the road.
