**Q: what is the diametre of the screw on top of the stand?**
A: I'm not sure. But if you are going to buy a microphone clip they usually come with an additional thread adapter. I have several Mic stands and adapters and they are more or less interchangeable/standard sized thread.Hope this helpsJames

A: The top of the upright has a 3/8 inch microphone thread and comes with a 5/8 inch adaptor.

**Q: how tall does the stand go? I'm 6ft so it needs to be able to reach that high**
A: I am away from home today but I am also 6ft and it reaches me

This is a very compact and easy to construct microphone stand. My only disappointment was that it does not fit my dynamic bluetooth microphones at all. They are all far too wide for the microphone holder. However, it is a good stand. I am going to give to to my Brother who has a whole range of different microphones. Otherwise I would have given five stars.
