Great quality hearing protection
Comfy on the head and over my ears even with glasses on. Great quality sound and instant noise reduction. Not cheap but far better than the previous cheap Chinese pair I had, what’s your hearing worth that’s how I looked at it.

Brilliant, Worth every penny
Having used a standard military green pair of ear defenders for years until finally they gace up and fell apart, I was looking for something new, I found these, well where do I start, I was unsure on how they would operate when using different cal, from .22lr to 45/70, I have to say they are amazing, my only regret is not buying any of these sooner, even my wife wants a pair now, and trust me it takes a lot to impress her. They fit great, and are super comfy, they are a slight bit heavier than the standard ear defenders but you don't notice them after a min, its great to be able to speak to people without moving one cup to one side, the changeable side covers are good, however found the one with the controls on a bit of agro, however the batteries are in the other ear, so shouldn't need to remove it again, only other slight niggle is that they are a bit of work to fold them up, however I think this is just because they are new and need to be worn in, I do have a ear defender bely clip and unlike the standard ear defenders, they are a struggle to just pop them onto your belt without making adjustments to the belt clip that you buy, this is because of the rubberised padding inside the head band, which makes the head band prob twice as think as a standard pair, Great for putting on your head, a pain for a clip, although, at my shooting club I am the only person who uses a belt clip so for 99% of the shooting community, this will not be a problem, I would recommend these to anyone and having tried different brands I found to be the best (FOR ME) at the end of the day guys, as you all know you will do your own research and find what's best for you, I have to say that I DON'T agree with people saying they are expensive, I don't think you can put a price on health and safety equipment, and I feel that if you want an item that will last then you pay for what you get, DONT be put off by the price, these are well worth the money, they will save your hearing, make life easier at the range being able to hear people talking for range orders, and they look great, so my advise, TAKE THE HIT, and get something that will last and keep you safe. Thanks all

Good product they seem to do a good job.
Good product they seem to do a good job. My only critiscm is that when the batteries start to fail the headset starts beeping at you and within 5mins they are dead - so you need to have a spare set of batteries with you. My other slight concern is that the batteries didn't appear to last that long, I have replaced the provided batteries with a better quaulity brand - we shall see how these get on

Very impressed - recommended!
I’ve tried various designs of ear defenders through the years. These offer amongst the best for performance and comfort. I often find the headset type design becomes uncomfortable after a long period of wear, but these have been fine over a period of 3 hours constant wear. They work as well or better than any passive ear defenders I’ve used before. The obvious added benefit of these is the electronic function. It works very well to ensure speech is clear while loud sounds are greatly reduced. You have the option to turn the volume up or down meaning you can increase voices or cut them off as desired. Using these on a rifle range keeps safety instructions clearly audible while shots are simultaneously reduced to a dull boom. Even with the volume turned up the shots are still reduced to the same level. Very impressed and happy with these. They’re ideal for use on a rifle range or a day on the clays. I would recommend these.

Some of the Best Electronic Ear Defenders on the Market
Peltor produce some of the best electronic ear defenders on the market. The sound quality is excellent and it cuts out the damaging levels of gunshot without affecting the volume of other frequencies, unlike some other makes which just drop the volume of everything on detecting a shot and take several seconds to recover. The volume control is good, but my only criticism is that it controls both ears in unison. There are certain circumstances where independent controls on each ear, as provided by some other makes, are useful. The headband is steel, so won't break, unlike the plastic headbands on some makes. Automatic switch off is very helpful in saving battery life for those of us who forget to turn them off, but 2 hours can sometimes be too soon if you are out for a day on the range. The warning of auto switch off saves the day. Very good value for money, compared with almost all other electronic ear defenders on the market.

So effective you'll forget you're wearing them!
Used on a weekly basis, these ear defenders have been incredible. With the mics switched off, they are effective and comfortable ear defenders, but once you switch the mics on, be prepared to be blown away... With the sensitivity set at a middle level, you're suddenly able to have full conversations at low spoken volume without any impedance, whilst totally blocking out all gunshots. With the sensitivity set to high, you're able to hear people talking two fields over- these Peltors can't be beaten!!
