La La Land [Blu-ray] [2017]

This film changed my life. I didn't even like musicals before watching it. I watched the first 20 mins of it then turned it off. The next day I thought I'd better labour through the rest of it. I didn't want it to end. It's almost like like a film that has 2 musical set-pieces before the plot starts in earnest. It's a masterpiece. I have started to learn piano because of this phenomenon!! Wish I'd never seen it so I could see it afresh. Enjoy!!

Great film that I watched with parents and enjoyed it. It is about a musician and his relationship with his girl. It is all about Hollywood (La La Land) and it really is. It is about how life is for an actress and a musician and the highs and lows. It is a complicated (not shallow film) and does not have the ending I had assumed through most of the film. It is a film and is enjoyable to watch.

Looking at other reviews I guess you will either love this or hate it. I enjoyed the film at the cinema so this is fine by me. It is a musical with a nice soundtrack and feel good story - with a bit of a twist at the end. My rating reflects the DVD itself. It took over 10 minutes to read when I first inserted it into the player (I returned my first copy thinking it was faulty). I don't know why it does this - none of my other blue ray discs do it.

Without a spunta, La La Land is one of the most captivating and enjoyable movie experiences in recent years. Chazel proves once again that he's able to create a visually stunning word that brings his music to live. The blu-ray has many special features including interviews with choreographers, composer, lyricists, and director which provide a nice insight into how some of the larger set pieces were filmed

Fantastic story, fantastic songs and the leads are fantastic. Even better than the hype. The film is ideal for Blu-Ray with vibrant colours and beautiful cinematography. Special features (approx an hour plus commentary) are worthwhile. Highly recommended film and Blu-Ray.

Went and saw this movie the week it was released in LA. It is a love song to Los Angeles. But it realistic in that it recognises that sometime success is about 'attendance plus luck', and sometimes there is disappointment in life. But all though sad it places overall IT IS AN ABSOLUTE JOY. (Even brought the sound track.)

Saw this at the cinema on UK release and wasn't impressed at all but decided to purchase the bluray and give it a 2nd chance and glad I did, very worthy of its critical acclaim so if you're unsure, give it a go, it's worth it. It has been released in Atmos, blew my socks off!!!!

Digital copy doesn't wotk but it came with a slipcover and some art cards which is nice. Image quality looked a little strange, overly contrasty and some odd compression artifacts.

Tiene doblaje en Español latino y V.O. en inglés. En algunos DVDs cuando dicen Español pueden referirse a Castellano, pero no es este el caso. Se entiende la película pero este doblaje utiliza expresiones y giros propios de Latinoamérica. La he devuelto.
