Ledco (LED) Lensor LED7008 Lightweight Poly Carbonated 3 x AAA LED Torch
This is a very good LED torch. It takes 3 aaa battery's and the batteries last seemingly forever (rated at 42hours). I'm still on the high quality alkalines originally supplied six months ago. German engineered , polycarbonate chassis feels indestructible. Fatter but shorter than the original 2 aa maglite. Same weight as a modern mobile before the 3 xAAA's Unbelievably bright. High quality contacts and battery caddy. Spot to flood beam adjustment. Full technical details here [...]. Lenser make a range of high quality torches, mostly aluminium. This torch is not quite as highly rated for light as their other very popular 3 aaa aluminium torch however it's lighter , not cold when it's cold and approx two thirds of the price. On / off switch unlikely to be triggered in a bag etc. Lenser are very understated and make no claims for waterproofing however this torch will easily repel rain and probably survive total submersion. I also have a 4 aaa aluminium Lenser which I'm selling because I end up using this one because of light weight and warm feel. Use high quality slow discharge rechargeables and you have cheap to run extremely powerful torch capable of lighting a path 100 yards plus ahead. No low power options but compensated by long battery life. It has flat inserts in handle allowing secure cycle handlebar attachment with an ebay velcro attachment and you have a great front cycle light. Great for hikers, dog walkers, lost dog hunters, camping (wrist-strap allows it to be suspended and on flood beam will easily light tent, table etc) . A million miles away from the old style torches with huge batteries with half an hour to use them in. LED Lensor are UK distributers for LED Lenser. Comes with belt holder, wrist strap and spare batteries. Never fails to impress men when given as a gift. Great value at around £20.

Excellent Performance in a Compact Torch
Great value and great performance from a compact package. I keep this in my car for emergencies and it's compact size takes up limited space. It mostly resides in the front centre armrest cubby (Merc) where it's compact size is a great bonus. These high luminosity LED torches have an extra use which isn't often noted. They're great for self defence from shining the intense light for a temporary blind to using them as a coercive tool. Even though this is a small torch, it's very robust and even in the most inexperienced self-defender can help you out of a tricky situation. I've bought Ledlenser products before. An ex-girlfriend of mine was an excellent and strong sea-swimmer and used to dive below Brighton pier. Under Brighton Pier is a treasure trove of lost property and cash and I bought her an Ledlenser Dive Torch which she said was phenomenal. Having bought the dive torch, I bought one for myself, having had the ubiquitous Mag-Lite before it. There's no comparison. German beats American every time and the LedLenser is no exception. I highly recommend this torch to anyone who needs a compact and powerful torch.

Best value Ledlenser torch
I own 'a few' Ledlenser torches, and I bought this one to keep as an emergency torch in my car. I bought this particular model because it's about the same size as the well-known 'P' series but it's quite a bit cheaper. The reduced price (compared with other Ledlenser products) gets you a hand torch with a polycarbonate body instead of the usual aluminium, and a no-frills design that has only one light output level. It takes 3 x AAA batteries and has an output of around 100 lumens with doesn't sound much. However the torch has an excellent zooming head that focuses down to quite a narrow beam with a long throw. In fact this torch is a lot brighter (at distance) than the 100 lumens output would lead you to expect. The polycarbonate design still somehow makes the torch feel like a quality item which was a surprise to me. Overall, better quality than I expected from a plastic casing and much brighter too. At this price, I reckon this has to be Ledlenser's best value torch overall.

Lenser cheapy torch
I bought this Led Lenser torch because its cheap, can take it anyware, coat pocket, car, Holiday etc and if its lost or stolen, well never mind!!!! The construct is still high quality, and has a wide (tempertaure) operating range and resists most knocks and dumps. The Beam patten is not great either spot or wide, but it still has a bright beam and for the price I can live with it. Hopefully the battery life is great, it should be.if I belive the specifications. As this is a Led Lenser, which only cost £17.50, I consider this one is great value for money Cheers JFN

Great bright, well made torch. Good value for money
Very bright torch for the weight and size. Much brighter than older LED lenser torches. I purchased this version due to its much much greater advertisied energy efficiency versus other LED lenser torches. The patented "zoom" function is great, however the wider spread beam isnt always even brightness across the spot diameter. I change the focus of the beam nearly all the time. This torch is largely polycarbonate, so wont have as much dramas with being used in humid or damp environments. Unless you are in special forces its more than bright enough for the majority of the population as a general use torch / flashlight.

Faulty by design-AVOID
I bought this torch last winter as I thought it would be a good alternative to my 3D Cell Maglite, which is a great but rather unwieldy torch to carry around on long dog walks. When I first received it, it worked perfectly and its performance was not noticeably poorer than my trusty Maglite. I liked the fact that the beam flooded nice and wide, but without the big shadow in the centre as you get with the Maglite. So far so good. So good, in fact, that little over a year later, I decided to take it with me on a camping trip. I strung it up in the tent at night to use as a reading light, which was something it did very well. Unfortunately however, on the very first night, the torch began to flicker and cut out. Realising that the batteries hadn't been replaced since I bought the torch, I bought some new ones the next morning and stuck them in, hoping this would resolve the issue. But to my shock, the issue occurred once again the next night, and has happened just about every time I've used the torch since. It will start off working perfectly, then begin to slowly dim, flicker, and eventually cut out completely, and will only be revived with 2-3 hard knocks against my palm. I'm thinking this must be caused by faulty contacts, as this happens consistently no matter what batteries are inserted, or how tightly the bottom cap is screwed in. Trouble is, I don't know if this is an issue which has just developed, or one that was there from the start, but I just didn't notice it having not used the torch in a long enough burst. Either way, this is not what I expected from a manufacturer which claims to make some of the best flashlights on the market. If I was having this issue with a £5, disposable plastic torch from ASDA, I wouldn't kick up any sort of fuss. But the fact that I paid 30 something pounds for this one, only to have it play up after less than a year is very disappointing and inexcusable on LED Lenser's part. From now on, I will only be buying Maglite products, as I have always found them to be well constructed and reliable. While my review is not necessarily a representation of all LED Lenser products, it is clear that their quality control is questionable.

Powerful beam
The torch provides a stunningly clear and powerful beam for its size. It is strongly made, but reasonably light and portable and fits into a coat pocket. It uses AA batteries, very convenient to replace or to recharge with rechargeable batteries. An excellent compromise between lower priced products and the more powerful Lenser ranges.

The best torch of its size, at a great price
I believe LED Lensers are used by the German police. The torch is small and light, but throws an excellent beam. The fittings are sturdy. I bought this to replace my previous LED Lenser: for some reason the 'unscrew' access to the battery holder broke (after many years use). This one was cheaper than the equivalent that I bought years ago. For the same price you could buy a cheap & nasty torch, or buy one of comparable quality for 3 times the price.
