## Description

6" Hand beaten Tibetan Singing Bowl made from seven metals. The sound of each Tibetan Singing Bowl is unique. Its uniqueness comes from its thickness, shape, size, combination of metals and the particular technique of the craftsmen. Some Tibetan Singing Bowls have a strong single tone, whereas others produce a rich combination of several harmonics and overtones. Review: Great value and nice tone - I was a bit sceptical about this bowl for a price of only about £20. I need not have worried. The bowl is a little uneven on the rim and with the hammering, but that shows it is handmade. The bowl is a nice and thick gauge metal and so takes a while to resonate when stroking round the rim and also if you go to fast it will buzz due to the slight rim imperfections. I found it did not play well when with the wood only mallet provided with it (fine for striking it), I suggest you buy another one with a leather end covering. Having said all of the above my bowl produces a clear and simple mid "o" tone when stroking round the rim and I love the resonance. Produces a nice clear high tome "e" when struck. Great value for the money and in my opinion a good starting out size of bowl that is not too heavy to hold.

The bowl actually comes with the exact cushion and striker shown in the photo, both are of good quality but the striker is all wood with no felt on it so the bowl is difficult to sing. The bowls came in lovely packaging unlike some that just come in a card box from India.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I've tried people's suggestions how to get this bowl to sing but it won't. Is it possible for them not work? My others are fine.**
A: Their may be a crack in your singing bowl. check it for any chips of cracks even the smallest crack will stop it from singing :)

**Q: Is there any way to find out/choose which note it plays?**
A: Yes, install any tuner app and play the bowl while the app is running. It should show you if its A, B, C, the octave etc In fact I am curious too because there is no information in the description and once you do this maybe you can share so I learn from you before I buy it. Thanks.

**Q: Could someone install a tuner app to tellme what sound note this bowl has? This will tell me for which chakra is before I buy it.**
A: hi... .  its super easy to download a tunng app on your phone and hold it to the bowl.


and. YES knowing the pitch is important if you care about music 
people who tell you not to get caught up on things are idiots and know nothing about music
you might want to play your bowl with other instruments and it is good to know the ptich in this case. .. 

pitches also have qualities and feelings that are nice for anyone who actually cares about music - rather 
than just to be seen playing a bloody bowl - to know about ..

**Q: Do you definitely suede tipped wand as not in picture. Also, do you get with cushion?**
A: Yes you do get the cushion which makes for good way to keep it In your living room. I didnt get a suede tipped wand with it but I bought a wand at the same time for £5 which was described as a Himalayan as opposed to Tibetan and  "rubbing stick" rather than a wand. Sometimes it's worth trying associated words in your search that might show items that are more like what you are looking for. I'm not sound technically qualified enough but the sounds/tones produced by the suede tipped rubbing stick/wand are different at some level to the pure wood one that came with mine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One big bowl!

Seller responded well and reassuringly to my query before the bowl arrived. Very well packed and arrived quickly. A little worried when I saw the inner box, as the bowls I've seen in shops are in containers of handmade paper. Opened the inner box to find more protective packaging, a beater, brown cushion - and one huge bowl. Set it up on the cushion, gently tapped the bowl - and oh my, what a wonderful sound. It also sings really well, produces a number of different tones, and vibrates wonderfully. This is honestly the nicest bowl I've heard, and I've tested quite a few. I am so pleased, and the price was fantastic.
