Min 5G Wireless HDMI Dongle Miracast Airplay TV Stick WiFi 1080P Display Adapter Receiver for iPhone, iPad, Samsung Android Smartphone/Tablet

I turned my dumb TV into a Smart TV with this unit in a matter of minutes. What I have actually sone is to enable my TV to mirror whats going on on my iPad so anything I can access on the iPad is now playable on my TV. Picture and sound So simple to set up - just follow the instructions and the unit will add your home wifi so it can remember the set up for a quick connect next time. Mine did an update that meant I had to wait an extra 5 minutes so set this up before you need it. Most TVs run HD nowadays and I found that connecting to a 2.4GHZ wifi that I got some buffering but connecting to 5Ghz eradicated this. Another nice feature is that you can start a film and basically do other things on the iPad and the film will still run on the TV. Such an easy solution to Smarten up the TV

The phone need to be really close the dongle

Sony Z4, Z2 Tablet, Sony Z Ultra dislike this adapter and said no any unprotected content can be shown at mirrorlink screen with this adapter. But any Android screen and all applications in their classification are intended to send protected content, this the mirror link is forced disconnected by Sony. I have to return the adapter unfortunately.

The photo is misleading since you need the WiFi transceiver and power cord plugged into it to make it work and this doubles the size. Also it draws more power than my TV can provide through its USB ports so must be powered separately. On the plus side this let me show stuff from my phone even though Samsung dropped the ability to drive HDMI via the micro USB port on the newer S models.

Does not do what it claims to. Connects easily but offers big lag and poor screen resolution

So far so good, works as a great screen mirror for Iphone at a fraction of the cost of an Apple TV the only downside is the set up screen is a little clunky and if you accidentally change modes to Android then getting it back can be a bit temperamental (Using the FN button doesn't always work).
