I’m super picky about my hair and have been searching for a gentle, safe, affordable shampoo for a long time. My hair is thick and wavy, and prone to frizziness. But this shampoo works great. Pros- really leaves me hair much smoother/straighter and shinier. Smells lovely, like grapefruit and apples but not too strong. Really affordable for a professional shampoo. Cons- doesn’t lather too well so if you have thick hair you’ll need to use more product than other shampoos. The bottle is a bit annoying because it’s a hard plastic so it’s difficult to squeeze, but also opens at the top so gravity can’t help unless you balance it upside down. Overall difficult to get that last bit of product out. Also wish it was 300ml instead since you end up using a lot. Overall really like this. This is my third tome buying it and I won’t be switching out anytime soon. I’ve tried other shampoos between washes and they dry my hair out. Would definitely recommend! edit: after a few months of use, I’ve noticed I get some minor dandruff. It was enough that I switch it out for a stronger clarifying shampoo every so often. of course that makes my hair drier but it allows me to go back to giovanni and really reap the benefits.

If you want moisturised, soft and shiny hair then this is the one for you. I tried this quite by mistake whilst away in Italy and I love it, so search Amazon when I got back to get some for myself. Even in temperatures of 90 degrees my hair still stayed sleek and soft, and after using a hair gel to keep my hair in place, washing was easy and quick using a very small amount to get a good lather and washing all the gel away. Really recommend, try it, I love it.

Its not as good as I thought it was.. My hair get tangled very easily and I thought it will be a life saver but in reality my hairs look worse than after use of "glisskur" shampoo. Very disappointed as it's quite pricey. Would not buy again for sure!

Have come back to this brand after finding that other brands either left my hair feeling like straw. Went away from it only because I was finding it difficult to get hold of. Now that I've found I can get it on Amazon, I'm a happy camper! This product had a pleasant smell, lathers nicely and is pretty easy on my dry, colour treated hair. I can still run my fingers through it after I've rinsed, which I couldn't do with some others. Plus it's organic - always good, in my book, especially when you consider your skin absorbs 70% of whatever you put on it! You don't want to be using stuff full of chemicals that are used to wash laboratory glassware like SLS, or substances that don't nourish your hair like the silicones used in many cheaper brands that coat the hair and nothing else.

Overall a Good clean shampoo. not too drying overall. Cleans the hair well and quite foamy. NeedsGood deep condition after to bring back the bounce and moisture. My Hair type 4C/B Curls

I first brought this product at a large health food shop when I was working away 4 years ago. When I was purchasing it the cashier who had long straight hair stated she used it as well. However my hair isn't straight it's curly. This shampoo is very gentle and doesn't strip your hair of all it's oils while cleaning it. This means if like me you do lots of sport and want to wash your hair afterwards you can do as it is not left left feeling like straw. As it is sulphate free it doesn't produce loads of lather which means it's easy to rinse out.

Have never left a review on Amazon before, but I just love this shampoo (and the conditioner too). It leaves my hair feeling and smelling gorgeous. Ran out recently and a couple of times I've had to use normal supermarket shampoo which leaves my hear feeling dry and irritates my scalp. Giovanni seems to be a really good, vegan friendly brand, and I'm going to re-buy smooth as silk in a moment!
