RØDE SC1 3.5mm TRRS Extension Cable 6M for Smartlav+ (20') TRRS

I didn't expect to find much difference in an extension cable, but I've tried a few of these "trrs" style extensions and this was by far the best. This is expensive at nearly £20, but it does the job very well. There was noise introduced by many of these other leads, admittedly at a low level, but definitely audible (hum). This lead does not suffer the same issue. I cut open one of the "other" leads, and it was constructed correctly (properly shielded cable), but persumably the copper wasn't up-to-grade as it still performed badly. Not only does this lead perform well - it also is the the longest and the thinnest cable - making it much more practical to carry around.

I use this with my IK Multimedia iRig Lavalier/Lapel/Clip-On Microphone for Mobile Devices and have been very pleased with the quality and length of this cable. It gives the user the option of working further away from the camera or mobile device.

Clean sound that works for video calls as much as recording webinars etc. Needed to get this adapter to use for recording videos so the recording can be direct to the mic instead of using a wireless mic.

I bought this as a result of a search for a TRRS extension cable so that I could lengthen the chord on my iPone earphones and use for Zoom Meetings, etc. It does what it says in the description, but they seem to not have bothered to connect the return audio so no good for what I bought it for. Recording sound is good. I will keep as I also live stream and an extension for the mic I use for that would be good.

Though it's very long - I'd have preferred an option to have a shorter extension cable - it does work perfectly. I use it with half on the cable curled up and tie-wrapped. It is a very thin cable so I'm cautious that it's not left lying around where anyone can trip over it or a roller chair go over it.

Just a note for other hasty buyers like me - this DOES NOT work with a standard Rode Lav mic - this is designed for the iphone version of the Rode Lav. So if you are looking for an extension cable to plug an exiting stand Rode lav into your camera/sound recorder, then this is not the droid you are looking for.

... and yes, it is a bit fragile. All lavalier equipment is. This is for use with Rode’s iPhone lapel mic - look elsewhere for audio extension cables!

Bought it to extend my lavmic but was unable to use it as the sound wasn’t consistent. Could not risk using it for the whole recording. Very disappointed as I had to use my camera’s mic instead.

ho acquistato questa prolunga per il microfono di RODE "smartlav+" perché spesso mi capita di portare video sul mio canale YouTube con il mio iPhone abbastanza lontano da me e per risolvere questo problema ho acquistato questa prolunga, io collego la prolunga al microfono e poi vado ad inserirla nel jack di iPhone è molto comoda anche se nei video non si può fare a meno di notarla ma dato che è lunga ben 6 metri ( come scritto nella scatola) si può sempre nascondere in qualche modo. Ho dato ben 5 stelle perché secondo il mio parere se le merita tutte perché dato anche gli ottimi prodotti di rode questo non rovina/ influisce sulla qualità dell'audio registrata dal microfono, come ho scritto prima mi ha colpito la sua lunghezza che riesco ad utilizzare il mio microfono anche da distanza. Pero come per il microfono speravo ci fosse una piccolo sacchettino dove poterla riporre in caso di inutilizzo. It is made for the røde smartlav trrs lavalier mic. I can confirm it does not work with the trrs connector of the røde videomic ntg. Very odd…
