Handy little tool
Nice handy surform in the tool box especially for those little jobsLike all things it’s not the quality of the 1960s one I inherited from my father and lost but that’s just the way of things but at that price I’m definitely not complainingGetting the shop display card out from under the file was fiddly but I got there in the end

Excellent Stanley plane and works a treat on end grain imperfections.

Sturdy and easy to use but has one flaw.
Although this item has a sturdy metal frame, is easy and comfortable to hold and does the job mine arrived with one drawback from day one. The blade retaining screw would only move a quarter turn and not fully unscrew to release the blade. Whether this is a design flaw or down to poor manafacturing, or both I will never know but I expect better from Stanley.
